I’m so impressed with these Deconovo blackout curtains! I got the black 84-inch panels for my bedroom, and they truly deliver on all fronts. They completely block out the light—even in the middle of the day, the room stays nice and dark, which is perfect for sleeping in or watching movies without glare. I’ve also noticed a big difference in temperature—my room stays significantly cooler during hot afternoons, which is a huge bonus. What really surprised me is how well these curtains repel dog hair! I have a large dog who sheds constantly, and I was worried the black fabric would show every little hair. But these curtains seem to resist pet hair and dust, and they still look clean without needing constant lint rolling. They’re also super soft and hang beautifully straight out of the package. If you’re looking for high-quality blackout curtains that are pet-friendly and help keep your room cool and dark, I highly recommend these!

I've bought many Deconovo panels in various colors and have always been pleased with the quality. These were just as high quality. Room Darkening These are excellent room darkening panels (true blackout panels are fully lined and cost quite a bit more) and the price is excellent for the quality. The fabric is thick and heavy. They keep my living room very dark, for watching tv or gaming. I selected dark grey and the color is close, though a bit lighter than I expected. See pics of my actual panels (brighter with the camera flash on). Once hung, they look darker. Coverage All my windows are bigger than standard and I also have a bay window in my living room - so I need a lot of coverage. I ordered two packages of the 63" panels for the bay and one package of 84" panels (total of six panels). I probably only needed three panels for the bay window, but since these come in a set of two panels I went with a fuller look. I love that these come wider than standard panels: 52" means I don't have to buy as many panels as other brands. Tabs Or Pocket These also have a new design I've never seen before. The panel can be used as a rod-pocket OR as a tab top. This is wonderful! My bay window has a very wide diameter rod and I was concerned rod pocket wouldn't fit. These actually fit due to a generous hem allowance, but it's nice to have the tabs if you want a different look. Pricing Deconovo has other panels available that look just like these with the same measurements but at a lower price. The difference is the WEIGHT. If you look under the Product Information at the item weight, you can see that these panels weigh more than others they offer (ounces per item). The heavier curtains provide more darkening. Overall, I highly recommend these.

They are well made and arrived on time. I am holding back a star because they are not light blocking. I did purchase them in white and have purchased black out in white before which performed perfectly. These curtains are single thickness, heavy, but no light blocking at all.

Starting night shift again soon as someone who worked it previously, I know how important it is to have 0 sunlight coming in when you’re sleeping. These work great, but there is a science to getting a completely blacked out room and if you use these with a regular curtain rod I think you will be disappointed. You need a wrap around curtain rod, sometimes they’re listed as blackout curtain rods. The rod goes all the way to the wall instead of being straight across. This helps block the side light coming in. Onto of the wrap around rod, you should get a double wrap around curtain rod. You can see my set up in one of the pictures I attached plus how dark my room is. I put these blackout curtains on the inside rod because I wanted some color in my room still, so I have thick green curtains on the outside rod for design. The inside rod is designed to be as close to the wall as possible so no light seeps in which is why it’s best to use blackout curtains like this on the inside rod. I would say these blackout curtains block ALMOST 100% of the light if the sun is not directly shining on your window. Doubling up with another thick curtain in front of these makes it 100% blackout.

RECOMMENDATION: Thumbs up – Can’t beat these for the price. THE GOOD: 1. These look good if you like cotton-style curtains. 2. These are room-darkening shades – not blackout shades even though they are called that. I would estimate that they block out around 85%-90% of the incoming sun which is what we were looking for (they are not as dark as the ads on Amazon show. There are not a lot of choices for room darkening shades, and we were happy to find these. 3. The drapes are a single piece of cloth (no lining) which is fairly thick. The edges are folded over and stitched as you can see in the photos. 4. The stitching is pretty strong – tested it and could not break it. 5. These have a rod pocket or you can use the back tabs. We used drapery hooks that we inserted through the stitching at the bottom of each of the back tabs, and that worked well. 6. The top of the curtain is 3” (from the top of the curtain to the bottom of the back tabs), which can be a useful measurement when you are looking for drapery hooks. THE BAD: 1. You are going to need to iron the curtains before you hang them if you don’t want any wrinkles. I have never seen curtains that did not have the be ironed first (no matter what the ads say) and these are no different.
