DONT BUY!!!!!! It won't work if someone said it would, they got paid to say it or just lied about it if you look at the video have about the product you can see that it slips and won't grab the floor joist and the handle is WAY too short !!! And its way to sloppy loose in the design of it . I'm a engineer detail er by trade and a welder . I will cut it up and redesign and rebuild it . I could buy one that works but I will fix the problems here and make it better. Save your money don't buy !!!!

Deck building tool works!
Great little gadget that helps when building a deck. It straightens the bow in the wood if there is any.

Cheaply made
Super cheap and flimsy. Not a very long handle so minimal leverage. For the extra $8 I would go with the orange one that’s made from square tubing. A lot more robust than this flimsy crap.

It Works....Sorta
It works....sorta. The issue is that the down rods slip so instead of straightening the deck board it just moves along the joist. To solve this I drove a screw in the side of the joist to give the rod something to push against. Its an extra step but its still faster and better than using a pry-bar (which is why it got 3 stars and not 1). The manufacturer could solve this by putting some grip spikes on the down rods. It may work better on rough cut or textured wood, it doesn't work without assistance on pressure treated wood and my needs.

decent tool
I was ready to modify this tool when it came in, due to the negative reviews. most said it slipped on the joist. it did not. it worked good. probably would break after a few decks, cause its not high quality but will work for one deck.

piece of trash
This tool is a total waste of time and money. Instead of gripping the joist it simply slides along the beam. No force is applied to the deck board. One attempt art usage was all I needed to toss this garbage to one side and call a friend to push the board into place. One star, save your money!

Perfect tool for decking!
This thing is a game changer for us talking composite decking. Especially when installing alone. Worth every penny and would highly recommend. It’s so easy to use and holds up to a lot of torque.

JUNK
This thing is garbage. It will not lock on to the joist and just slides back when pressure is applied. Don't waste your money.
Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2026 by Great idea. And it worked. But one size does NOT fit all. They say nothing about if your inlet pipe has a seam. Had to notch it out and pretty much made a huge mess of it. But it's on and we'll see how it goes.
