As of mid July this is easily the GOTY front runner. Literally a masterpiece. Great cinematic story/writing, phenomenal gameplay, insane visuals, smooth combat. This game has it all with next to zero bugs. I could see how the fortnight/cod crowd wouldn’t enjoy this game due to the toddler like attention spans and brainrot that community suffers from. It’s refreshing to play a completely original game with new mechanics and a fresh story instead of a remaster, remake, same sport game every year, generic soulslike, or fps COD clone. Also refreshing to see a AAA game studio release an actual finished/polished game ON release day instead of the Ubisoft method of releasing barely working buggy slop after several delays. As someone who enjoys single player story driven games DS2 is EASILY a 5/5-10/10.

You will not be disappointed! This game is excellent. The sound track is insane I could listen to it all day. It is probably one of the best games I have played. Hideo Kojima has outdone him self on this one. I would give anything away but you will laugh you will cry and then cry some more. Great story line. Epic graphics! I would buy this again if I had to. I have about 100 hours into it so far and there is still much to do. Absolutely fantastic game.

Perfect game. Logically flows from the original, while somewhat tedious if you've JUST played the first game as I did, necessarily makes you earn every reward and progression item with more new to boot later. Great immersive experience if you lived in a world of fallout inhabited by ghosts of the dead from whatever happened before that people forgot, this is it. Has some patented Kojima weirdness to it which should be fun for fans of his work and callbacks to previous games at times for a bit of a laugh or nostalgia. If youre willing to tolerate some mysticism along with your disaster science fiction, this is for you.

Kojima outdid himself again. This was one of the greatest games I’ve ever played. The gameplay, acting and graphics were amazing. It has everything the first one was missing and the first one was excellent as well. It has its goofy moments but that’s to be expected from a kojima game. Everyone that worked on this game deserves alot of credit. If you haven’t played the series then you should really give it a chance. It’ll be worth it!

Death Stranding 2 is remarkable. Visually, it exceeds any and all expectations, at times looking truly photo-realistic. Simply moving through the world feels good. It's fun just hike to a shelter so you can 3D print a truck, fill it with building materials so you can restore highways, which will make it easier to traverse the gargantuan map. I may not be saying anything completely original, but take that as an indication that there is little to say about this game other than to sing its praise.

2025 GOTY. An absolute masterpiece. The story, the graphics, the gameplay. It really doesn’t get much better than this. My whole family was invested in the game and that’s saying something!
