As of mid July this is easily the GOTY front runner. Literally a masterpiece. Great cinematic story/writing, phenomenal gameplay, insane visuals, smooth combat. This game has it all with next to zero bugs. I could see how the fortnight/cod crowd wouldn’t enjoy this game due to the toddler like attention spans and brainrot that community suffers from. It’s refreshing to play a completely original game with new mechanics and a fresh story instead of a remaster, remake, same sport game every year, generic soulslike, or fps COD clone. Also refreshing to see a AAA game studio release an actual finished/polished game ON release day instead of the Ubisoft method of releasing barely working buggy slop after several delays. 2025 GOTY. An absolute masterpiece. The story, the graphics, the gameplay. It really doesn’t get much better than this. My whole family was invested in the game and that’s saying something!

    • Great game... Much better than the first
Much better than the first one. Walking everywhere was STUPID when you would constantly walk past one vehicle after another but couldn't use them. This one makes use of vehicles, zip lines, trams etc. Makes much more sense. And the BT'S aren't as difficult this time around either. I would rage quit the first one after constantly being grabbed and lose all my stuff... Took all the fun out of it. And I'm not a SOULS game player where I don't mind dying hundreds of times. I play for enjoyment.. Not excess of challenge. So kudos to the developers on this one... For making a game FUN! ... show more

    • Perfect sequel, find a tl;dr of the original.
This sequel is more accessible gameplay wise than the 1st. Still, either play the original first or at least watch a youtube video explaining the plot. Otherwise you will not understand anything. Another Hideo Kojima classic.
