The moisturizer itself is 5/5 stars, the jar packaging makes it 4/5 stars. This moisturizer is my holy grail. It’s absolutely perfect for my combo skin. You dont need to use a lot product, it melts into your skin almost instantly, so it will last a very long time. It’s light as a feather and you feel like your skin can breathe when you have it on. It definitely feels like you are not even wearing a moisturizer, then you look in the mirror and see that subtle glow (not oily mess) that reminds you that you hit the lottery with this one. I love that it’s fragrance free, never pills with other products, silicones aren’t at the top of the ingredient list, the lightweight texture that glides so effortlessly, and the fact that I’m also using Tretinoin at night and a BP wash in the morning and it still moisturizes just enough to combat any possible irritation. NOW TO THE JAR PACKAGING: You can tell by the texture of this product/the way it moves around in the jar, that it was never meant to be in jar packaging. I hate that the user experience is so diminished by the jar, taking the spotlight away at what a great moisturizer it is. It just makes the product a mess to deal with. They give you a spoon, but they’re an annoying hassle IMO. It’s 100% meant for a pump bottle and it’s sad to see so many reviews say the same thing for so long and the company ignore it for whatever reason. Overall, I love this moisturizer and I will continue to buy it as long as the *formula* never changes….feel free to change the packaging anytime you want though, Klairs. :)

I love the Klairs Supple Toner and their Nourishing Eye Butter. I was excited to try this moisturizer for my sensitive, combo, acne-prone skin, but sadly this was a miss. The texture was nice, but the smell I could not get past. It's hard to describe, but it smelled like potent glue (not elmers glue, but like some kind of industrial scent). The second deal breaker for me was that it left my skin feeling and looking greasy. The main issue was the smell however.

This product is amazing for dry skin! This product worked wonders for me for a couple months to calm really inflamed acne… but I have really sensitive skin so it seemed to get irritated after 6months of use. Which can happen. (Dehydrated, acne prone, oily skin). My mother on the other hand has been using this product for over a year now and it’s her holy grail. (Dry sensitive skin)

I'm about 2/5th through my first jar. Have been looking for something for daytime use with my combo skin in warm enivorment. This one has worked well. I haven't noticed any irritation or breakouts due to use. Leaves skin looking dewy, not greasy and moisture lasts all day. It's a bit on the pricy side so the fact that in comes in a jar and only with a spatula is annoying given the consistency. I wish they'd change the container and put this into some kind of pump. Really unique texture. It's not a gel, nor is it completely liquid. It's a bit like a runny pudding lol. It glides on and absorbs into the skin easily though. What I may do is get an airless pump jar and try to use it in that to see if it helps.

I find this lotion to be excellent for night even put on in a thicker layer. I wake up and it's still a little bit sticky on my skin which I like because it tells me it's been absorbing and all night. The smallest unique and I'm not a huge fan of it so I may not buy it again for that reason.

This product was recommended by a YouTube influencer as a dupe for another gel product that I have used daily for years, but it is at a higher price point. I don’t know if I received a bad or spoiled product, but this was not a gel at all. It was a very sticky pourable liquid.
