We are displaced Cajuns living in the Pacific Northwest, & this range will be put to the test daily. It was not purchased for decoration. That being said, we'll see how many Gumbo's, Pork Roasts, & Pecan Pies this range will deliver. Once we have some time with it, I will adjust the rating accordingly. The unit was delivered about midway in the delivery time slot schedule. I was able to track the delivery truck as it made each delivery prior to mine. The outside packaging showed no signs of damage or abuse. The range was well packaged & protected. After removing the protective wraps & padding I found a slight crease in the back wall sheet metal (which did not impact any components) & the front access panel below the bottom door was misaligned. Further investigation showed one of the mounting tabs bent backwards and the mounting slot dented & misaligned, which I presume was done during installation. These components are all stainless steel & a few minutes with a hammer & a pair of pliers straightened everything out to original. I would recommend that before installing, to remove this panel to gain access to the feet to be able to adjust for level. Check that the feet are tight against the range bottom & that the bottom section of each foot turns freely. Also note that the DUURA logo shown in the Amazon photos was not on the front of this range. All of the gas components look to be of commercial quality & the gas regulator has 1/2" NPT pipe threads. The stainless steel is of high quality, as are the cast iron grates. The control knobs are entirely metal surrounding a plastic core (even on the back). The oven racks are high quality chrome & heavy duty. The oven lamp next to the oven control knob illuminates when the gas is on. When the temperature set by the knob is reached & the gas turns off, the lamp will go dark to indicate the oven is at temperature. The oven temperature was checked at 350° as set by the control knob with an infrared thermometer & the temperature was spot on. Horrible. This started off smelling like gas the first time I turned the oven on. I was told it was common, and that I should turn on the vent hood. The smell of gas has been getting progressively worse to the point that it makes my eyes water. My return window expired. What now?
