I bought a pair of these meters for monitoring deep-cycle lithium batteries in my bass boat. If you can get a hold of the State of Charge (SOS) percentages for your battery, then you will know what each voltage reading means. For my particular 12V 100AH battery, 13.5 V indicates 100% SOC. On my first time out on the water, I used the trolling motor – as most do – intermittently but consistently for six hours. I checked the meter and it dropped to 13.4 V indicating 99% SOC after 6 hours. So kudos to the battery, but know I KNOW how much – or how little – energy drain there is on my batteries. Before buying these meters, I would only be guessing. I used the supplied double stick material to affix directly on top of each battery. I chose this brand because the white LED is bright and easily read in direct sunlight, which for me is essential. The readout is always on, but they draw next to nothing to illuminate. This is such a simple and effective way to check battery voltages if you don't have some other more convenient way to do so. ... show more

Wanted to monitor battery on ZT mower and this was perfect. The display is easy to read in the day and I can now see battery is charging when engine is running. I conected to one of the unused headlight connectors and it works great. Just know when you move your key to the start position, the meter will go out because most mowers don't want the accessories powered when starting. This is exactly what I wanted.     • Had to have a stick on meter to watch my new AGM battery on my camper.

I installed a smart float charger and an AGM battery in my 5 year old 30' Coleman camper. The oem dumb charger was not FCC excepted and thru radio frequency spurs all over the powerline. These could be heard on the ham radio and police radio frequency bands. So this was a great upgrade from the OEM charger in the camper. This digital meter allowed me to mount it over a small hole for the wires of the meter. And it's viewable from 20 ft away by this old guy.
