I have literally purchased this same dress in 5 different colors because I love it that much. The price is right. It’s thick and soft (definitely not see through) and is very flattering on my hourglass shape. It runs true to size. Amazon Chinese dresses can be hit or miss, and I’ve definitely had my fair share of bad buys on Amazon that were itchy, stiff, see through, and unflattering with the shape. But this is the only one I’ve gotten that has checked all the right boxes so I’m buying it in every design I like. It’s also flexible weather wise. I wear it alone in summer and paired with a cardigan, boots, and leggings in Fall. The most important part with sizing is the bust. I wear 34B bra and the small and medium sizes both work on me.

I was a bit skeptical about the elastic gathering as I am 5'11 and most times it just doesn't look right or fit correctly on a longer torso. So glad I took a chance and bought this dress! It is super soft and fits right above or just at the knee, and looks great with boots. Love it!

I am not a woman who likes dresses, but I loved the fit and feel of other colors of this dress, so I bought this floral version, too. I got the dress washed and was putting it in my closet when i realized all of the birds on this dress are upside-down! It isn't as noticeable with the flowers, but now that I see the birds, I can't NOT notice the entire pattern is upside-down. Poor, poor birds. On the bright side, the solid colors are great!

I bought these dresses, because there were so many positive reviews from women of all different body types. I bought 3 different colors in the knee length, and I’m happier with the darker colors. The mauve color showed some weird lines after washing. They are all very comfortable and flattering. As others said, the top is more sheer than the bottom, so pick your bra accordingly. I’m 5’4’’, and they come just below my knee. A perfect length for me. I was not worried at all about flashing anyone as I knelt, bent, and jogged after kiddos. I’m not totally thrilled they are hand wash and hang dry. So, if you don’t have time for high maintenance clothes, you may want to keep looking. The maxi length I didn’t like. There was nothing wrong with it. It just didn’t work for me. At my height it pooled on the floor. I don’t think I would have liked it even if I hemmed it, though. The red was an orangey, hot red that didn’t flatter my coloring. The bottom of the dress does not flare as it continues down. So, it feels a little Morticia-y. If you want to accentuate your hips, this would probably look flattering on you. If you have hips to spare, but not in a Jessica Rabbit kind of way, then you will probably not be happy with the maxi length.

Overall, this has a good fit and is very comfortable. The color has held up well with multiple washes, as has the material in general. The top is a little looser of a fit thatn I would expect, so it can look a little boxy. I tend to wear with a nice scarf to hide that.
