This wax was a life saver for some small damage done to our pool table! We also used it to seal the joints for our slates. What we recommend is while the wax is still hot and slightly hardened, that is when your should start scraping the excess. We at first let it fully harden then found it way too tedious to scrape off the excess. Not to worry we just reheated those areas and the rest was smooth sailing.
