I've had one of these in use for 2yrs on one of our plows and recently had to order a second for another plow setup and due to a shipping delay I also ordered a 2nd motor from another Amazon listing for about the same price Upon receipt of both pumps I immediately noticed a difference on the rear locating plate, I had seen other higher priced listings reference dual bearings @ a higher cost ($140) but didn't think anything of it, so I removed the cover and to my surprise for an additional $10 ($106) the non db electrical has a real sealed bearing locating the rotor (Motor weight 16.2lb). As for the DB @ ($96) it just has a bronze oil-lite bushing (Motor weight 16.4lb) ... show more

2/17/21: Motor came as shown in the Amazon photos when ordering. Motor came well packed with a box inside a box with large bubble wrap in between. No instructions in the box or on DB Elec website. Positive cable post had red identification washer on it in same location as my original. Negative connection was not identified but guessed the bolt protruding from the side of the motor casing on the bottom was Negative connection. Tested motor using bolt as Neg. connection and it tested fine so used it. My old style Western motor negative/ground connection did not have a post and was grounded to the base of the motor. I like this style better. Suggest DB Elec. put identification on Pos. and Neg. terminals to take away any question. Motor fit perfect and was installed in less than 10 minutes. Tested plow and everything worked nicely. Motor was not louder than my original motor as others have noted. Have not plowed with it yet so might update once it's been used for a while. ... show more

    • Works great- Plow working fast and quiet now.
Replaced older Western plow motor which was drawing WAY too much current to just move the blade. The new motor fit on perfectly, and now the motor is quiet and smooth. It barely even moves the voltage gauge now and the plow is working great. ** If you live in Northeast as I do, be sure to change out your plow motor fluids every year and use the low temperature fluid designed for the plow motors- it will save you many headaches and freeze ups! Plow works great now. Will update if there are any issues. ... show more
