So I purchased several pairs of these plates for use @ home 45lb, 35lb & 25lb. The 45lb plates just came in today but I got the others a few weeks ago. Upon opening the boxes (some of which were beat to hell) I noticed a few imperfections like a few nicks here & there on some plates but honestly these are cast iron weights to lift not something to model with so thats no big deal. There were no sharp edges to cut or scrape you. I weighed each plate & found that every single one of them is 0.6lbs off from the listed weight e.g. the 25lb is really 24.4lbs & the 35lb is really 34.4 lbs but again not a big deal for me personally but every single ounce may count to some people. I haven't really used them yet as I'm still awaiting delivery or my bar but thus far they seem pretty good

Just got several pairs of the 5lb plates and tested them out today. Pretty spot on in terms of weight and slide in easily on my CAP 7’ Olympic barbell w/threaded sleeves.. The hole size is about 1/16 larger than 2”, so they shouldn’t be getting stuck on any barbells, but that does mean you’ll want to put collars on them to keep them from sliding around. For the price, compared to others you can find at the moment, it’s a good deal. I’m not discounting what other people said about the oily film on the plates, but none of the pairs I got had anything on it. I was prepared for a possible mess when I opened them up, but everything was dry and clean, so maybe they got around to fixing that problem by now. Hope this review helps!

Originally ordered a pair of 2.5lb plates. When I received them, one of them did not fit on the barbell. I came to check reviews and saw that there had been a misshapen weight mold that was accidentally put out. I emailed Day 1 Fitness immediately after I received the package and within the hour I had a professional courteous reply apologizing for my inconvenience and offering to send a new one right away. Within 72 hours of my first email, i received my replacement weight and everything fits wonderfully. To me, Day1Fitness demonstrated outstanding customer service and never hesitated to fix their own mistake. I would recommend anyone to order from them. As for the weights themselves, both weigh within .1lbs of 2.5 and have a smooth clean finish. Exactly what i was looking for!

The boxes they arrived in were a little beat up, but once i took them out of their plastics, they looked awesome.. They were nice and shiny, and i think they are a little heavier than the weights at the gym. I have a set of 10s arriving soon and then i'll just have to wait for the 25s to be back in stock. Awesome purchase, my home gym is almost complete. Update: So i now own a pair of 10s, 25s, 2 pairs of a 35s and this week i received my pair of 45s. Everything was good until i got the 45s. First off, one arrive don sunday by itself and the other was to be delivered later that day. Got an email around 7pm saying my other 45 was delayed and would arrive in 2 to 3 days. Ok, fine. Wake up on Monday to an email saying the other would arrive today. It arrives and i open it, and what do you know, it's chipped. That hole looks like it's going to expand over time. I'll be contacting the seller about this for sure. I would return it, but i know how hard these are to get these days and i don't want to have to wait 2 months to get a replacement.

Needed two 10lb. plates to add to my set so I could continue to increment my weight increases by 5lbs. These did the trick just fine. The holes were a bit larger than Olympic-size but a little bigger is better than a little bit smaller. That minor imperfection is the ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars. Everything else was perfect. Would definitely buy these again if I needed them.

So far so good! I have received them and used them on the same day. I didn’t notice any stickiness or anything what has been told in the previous reviews . I guess they have improved in that matter. They are very solid. Yes the hole is slightly bigger but it doesn’t make any difference especially since I use the clips for my barbell. I would use the clips whenever o use small plates anyway. It’s worth getting for this price considering the crazy times and all the main Olympic equipment prices. I was very happy with the purchase.

This was the only manufacturer that would ship to my overseas APO/FPO address and the weights arrived incredibly quickly. Knocked one star off because the "baked enamel" coating on the plates created a somewhat soft surface layer that caused several of the plates to fuse together when I laid them on top of one another. I had to use a pry bar and a substantial amount of force to separate the sets which caused some of the coating to flake off. Other than that these are perfect and I plan on ordering more so I can have a set for my benchpress bar and a set for my trap/deadlift bar.
