Top Amazon Reviews

  • Well written and indispensable
Format: Paperback
When I started 35mm photography in the 1980s, pretty much all you needed to know to operate an SLR was aperture and shutter speed. After that, you could spend you time focusing on the art and craft of fine photography. Today, if you want to get the picture quality of an DSLR or mirrorless, you need to know endless menus and hundreds of settings, not to mention all the physical controls on the camera itself. Unless you have invested hundreds of hours into learning today's machines, you need a source of explanations that is thorough yet also easy to find information on whatever topic you have questions about. This book is the perfect resource for an amateur stepping up to a mirrorless for the first time or for a seasoned photographer new to the Nikon Z5 II. It walks you through every setting, offers recommendations and explains those choices, and even review of some accessories like different Nikkor lenses. Well organized and indexed, illustrated with helpful color pictures, and written in a personal style, this book is the perfect guide for learning to use and get the most out of your Z5 II. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Authors make a difference
Format: Paperback
Looking forward to learning from David Busch. Given the choice between David's and Thom Hogan's books on the Z5ii, I much prefer David's more direct writing and clearer directions.

  • Well written and comprehensive
Format: Paperback
Very comprehensive and pretty well organized. It is a little difficult for a new reader in a rather technical area

  • Everything you want to know about the Z5 II
Format: Paperback
This is the 3rd David Busch book I purchased. It's perfect. Extremely Informative. I really like his opinions on which functions he prefers and his recommendations on accessories. Most books are straight forward with how the camera operates, but Mr. Busch has side notes which to me are very valuable. He covers every square inch of the camera and it's functions. I know this sounds simple, but when I'm looking up a function, he has everything listed in the Index. I've seen a lot of self help books, lack full Index's. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great Guide Book!
Format: Paperback
This is the third David Busch camera guide I own. They all are better than the manufacturer's manual. He takes you through all the functions step by step, tells you what they are and do. He also tells you what he selected and why. Today's mirrorless cameras are small computers and unless you are a pro or serious amateur, you need a guide like this. YouTube video guides are good but it is difficult to set up the camera while trying to listen and watch at the same time. ... show more

  • Great information easy to understand.
Format: Paperback
As always, David Busch’s books leave no stone unturned. However it is easy to find a specific setting you want to know more about. Whenever I get a new camera, I immediately order the corresponding David Busch manual.

  • A handy PRINT reference to have available!
Format: Paperback
The actual camera doesn’t ship with a manual. The online .pdf is awkward to read, and is too much to print out. Therefore, this guide is very useful if hard copies are your preference.

  • Great Z5ii Reference Book
Format: Paperback
Excellent quality, well set out, a superb reference book for the Z5ii.
