I am new to woodworking with a CNC machine. When I bought my machine I got it with a 60 degree and a 90 degree VBit. Now these bits are great but I was needing something for a bit finer detail. That is when I came across this 20 degree VBit. Let me tell you this bit is excellent and cuts very clean. I use it with my Shapeoko 5Pro 4x4 with a carbide router. The packaging is pretty standard a plastic case which most routers come in. I know I make sure to put it back in its case as I want to protect the tip.     • 20 degree engravers are superb
I've been using a 30 degree engraving tool bit in engraving wax and silver. I use a 4 axis jeweler's mill. It's been satisfactory at best. Going to a 20 degree engraving bit is much, much better. It's really sharp the letters, even the smallest ones are very clean! I can't comment on it's ability to hold an edge, but right now after about 30 minutes of engraving, it's sharpness is as good as ever. ... show more

    • Helpful for fine detail routing.
I like this bit. I use it to route the outline of the characters in my wooden signs. I then use a straight bit to hog out the waste. It is very delicate so care must be taken not to break it which I have yet to do. Recommend.
