This is a great keyboard. No flashing lights, only the bare necessities and a USB-C hub which i like because my pc doesnt have USB-C ports. My only nitpick with the keyboard itself is the rough edges which tend to dig into your palms, but a wrist rest would fix this. I had a Filco majestouch 2 with Red switches and a Razer Blackwidow with Razer Greens. My workload demands that i have good typing accuracy. With reds I tend to make more spelling errors and mistakes due to the lack of feedback on my fingers, which is why the tactile bump exists. I will say though that compared to Razer Greens, the Cherry MX blues have a significantly stronger tactile bump so each keypress requires a little bit of extra force. but if I had to guess the reason for this is due to the fact that Razer Greens are not a true mechanical switch, they are optical. Cherries are *true* mechanical switches, so that is probably why they need more force to type with. But this isnt a knock on the daskeyboard, they make the keyboard not the switches. So all you need to know is that its a great keyboard. ... show more

I'm replacing a Corsair gaming keyboard. There were very few things that I did [not] like about the Corsair and this keyboard fixes those things: Key backlighting and alternate key marking on this keyboard is superior to my old Corsair. This keyboard is also in a box chassis and feels more solid than the sheet metal chassis on the Corsair. It's not really a "thing"; just something I noticed. The Cherry MX switches are my switches of choice as it feels closest to my all time favorite keys on the Kaypro. The volume dial works perfectly. Turn it to adjust volume and press to mute... Perfect! The pause button pauses everything that makes noise regardless of if that thing is selected... Perfect! Two USB-C ports on the keyboard. I purchased 2x USB-C to USB-A adaptors that matched the keyboard in finish... Perfect! This is the keyboard you're looking for if you're finished with all the RGB spinning bells and whistles and just want a "tank" keyboard that is easy to see. I despised having to squint and get close to the some of the seldom used keys in low light conditions. This is no longer an issue and the all the damned keys are labeled in the customary manner without weird deviations (for U.S. users, anyhow). I feel like I got what I paid for and if you're looking at this keyboard, you know that good ones are not cheap! For gamers that like having the [curved indent] around the WASD,X keys: The Corsair layout did feel better in this regard but... This is not intended as a gaming KB. 2nd update - bought the keyboard again, this time I had to unnplug other USB devices to make it work, but I quickly found out the "t" key was sticky. Unbelievable a $200 keyboard would have keys that stick straight out of the box. Update - Sometimes the keyboard simply won't work. When I turn on the computer or the computer wakes up the keyboard won't work - no lighting and no response. I try plugging it in to several different USB slots and still nothing. I can tell windows recognizes the keyboard because it makes a ping sound, but the keyboard is still dead. I plugged in my old Daskey v4 and it works just fine. May be I got a bad one because I bought it so soon after release. Very disappointing. Also, now that I'm using the old v4 I find the keys on the v4 (also mx brown) feel nicer than the new v6. Maybe they're just worn in, but they're a LOT smoother. I'm upgrading from a Daskeyboard Pro 4 to the 6. I was very happy with the 4 and the 6 is simply a better version of the 4; smaller profile, adjustable foot pegs, more responsive volume knob, better position of the sleep button, the larger keys (space bar, Return) are tighter as well. It has all the features I was looking for without any of the stuff I consider gimmicks such as extra keys, crazy colored RGB, software, etc. Simply put, it's clean, responsive, looks and feels high quality and has everything I need and nothing I don't want. I give this keyboard a 99/100. It's missing 1pt because at $200 I think they should've included one of this cheap plastic/wire tools to easily remove the keys. Note2: 1. It wasn't clear from any of the advertising that you can mute volume by pressing down on the volume knob. I use this feature a lot and was disappointed when I thought it was removed, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it still existed. 2. On the pictures it looks like there is a silver ring outlining the volume knob. On the version I have, the volume knob is entirely black. Makes no difference to me but I thought it was worth mentioning. ... show more

I bought this a few months ago to substitute for the spongy keyboard they supplied me at work. I also wanted backlighting (I rarely do paper stuff) but did not want funny colored lighting. This keyboard has a nice subdued white backlight that's easily adjustable - and it REMEMBERS your settings! I did not like the screw-in feet because as the keyboard shifts on the desk during the day, they screw in or out and the keyboard becomes unstable. I removed them and glued rubber pads on the bottom to get the height I wanted and never thought about them again. I got the quieter switches because I don't need to annoy people at work, and the sound and feel is perfect for me. I've remembered to use the volume knob maybe twice, but I rarely listen to music or podcasts while working. I just turned down my volume for a phone call I made with the soft-phone on my system, which was convenient. Overall a nice keyboard, and worth the purchase. ... show more
