This is a great keyboard. No flashing lights, only the bare necessities and a USB-C hub which i like because my pc doesnt have USB-C ports. My only nitpick with the keyboard itself is the rough edges which tend to dig into your palms, but a wrist rest would fix this. I had a Filco majestouch 2 with Red switches and a Razer Blackwidow with Razer Greens. My workload demands that i have good typing accuracy. With reds I tend to make more spelling errors and mistakes due to the lack of feedback on my fingers, which is why the tactile bump exists. I will say though that compared to Razer Greens, the Cherry MX blues have a significantly stronger tactile bump so each keypress requires a little bit of extra force. but if I had to guess the reason for this is due to the fact that Razer Greens are not a true mechanical switch, they are optical. Cherries are *true* mechanical switches, so that is probably why they need more force to type with. But this isnt a knock on the daskeyboard, they make the keyboard not the switches. USB Shorts out.

Went through 2 keyboards. I read the reviews of the keyboard not working when you plug it in. Unfortunately its true and its a problem. I bought 1, plugged it in. I get a "USB device has malfunctioned". You have to unplug it and plug it in multiple times and eventually it works. You have to do this EVERY TIME you restart your computer until. I tried on multiple usbs and 2 different computers. Its a problem which is a shame because it feels really good. I'm moving on to different keyboard. This one is a bust. ... show more

Fantastic

This keyboard feels professional in all aspects. The keys are very clicky and responsive. The keyboard itself is very heavy and won't slide around, even for heavy typers. I also appreciate the built in media controls. Well worth the cost for a reliable keyboard that feels as nice to use as it looks.

Was previously using the Das Keyboard 4 Professional (now being used by my wife) as I upgraded to the Professional 6 mostly because of the backlit keys which are clear and elegant. However, was pleasantly surprised by the following: 1/ Thunderbolt/USB C replacing previous USB ports 2/ changing the <Mute> button to a toggle of the volume knob (press down to mute or unmute) and 3/ because I use Cherry MX o-rings (0.4mm) to reduce the key travel I was pleasantly surprised to see that this model no longer uses the wired key stabilizers on the large keys which made installing the o-rings much easier and faster. Keyboard itself seems a bit more crisp and responsive than the previous one. Wonderful to use. Am aware that guilt will force me to eventually get this model for my wife as well...Enjoy ... show more

I've been a long time Das Keyboard fan. I write software so my keyboard gets a lot of use. I guess I am kind of a keyboard snob. My previous keyboard to this new v6 Pro was the Das Keyboard v4 Pro. The Good: I really like the smaller form factor. It's still a full size keyboard but the outside bezel is trimmed. You have all the same keys that you did from v4. The white back light is very crisp. The keyboard height is adjustable. USB-C cable. Comes with a USB-C to A adapter. The keys ...oooh boy, they are clicky and crisp. Love love love the keys. They are exactly how they ought to be. The Bad: v4 keyboard cable was braided. Gave it a more premium feel & look. This new v6 is straight (and cheap) vinyl. See my screenshot. It's a little disappointing. There is light blead from underneath the keyboard that gives some keys an odd shadow/light effect. See my screenshot. This is more than a little distracting. Even with the backlight turned down it's clearly visible. The v4 Pro keyboard did NOT have this problem. Final thoughts: I'm seriously considering sending this back and sticking with my v4 keyboard. I'll give this new one a test drive for a couple weeks and see how it goes. At a $200 price point the light blead issue and cheap cable is more than a little disappointing. Das Keyboard ...you can do better. Edit & rating change: I changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. I've come to the conclusion that despite the light/shadow on the keys I almost don't notice it when working. I would have given it 5 stars if the cable was braded like v4 and if the light/shadows on the keys were not so noticeable. Is it worth $200? If you can look past these two things then I suppose. Otherwise go grab a v4 for $170. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

It’s a nice keyboard, very functional. Both my teenage boys have this and they play a lot of online games and they have no problems, letters aren’t fading. If you want/like the old fashioned clicking keys this is for you.

This board has keys that are mixed up and I lived with it for a while but HUGE waste of money!!! It’s slowing me down and too late to return!! For instance the colon and semi colon are mixed up, it’s a nightmare!
