They're maintaining their shape/size, there's no apparent thinning, and there are no loose threads. They are very comfortable to wear - the cushion is great, and the material is soft. So soft, fit well. -Have washed and warn fir over a year. -Washability, Ive hang dried and dryer dried on low, it didn’t shrink. - moisture retention is low to zero -stays up - good quality - I do not stare at my feet but I guess you could say they look nice too.

I love these so much I’ve purchased three pairs since ordering this pair. They are nice and toasty, and if you’re like me and tend to get sweaty feet these don’t absorb it all which can make socks uncomfortable. I'm by no means a heavy hiker but I did wear these on 1-2hour long hikes and it was extremely comfortable. I was in about 70-80 degree weather and I had no problem with my feet getting blisters, which is usually a big problem for me. I'd like to buy multiple pairs but it is pretty pricey. I also own the equivalent of these socks from Costco and the Costco brands definitely don't compare well to Darn Tough. I've washed the pair about a handful of times and there is no pilling. I'd love to have more pairs of these but they are pricey, however, I do think they're worth it if you're doing a lot of outdoors activities. ... show more

I bought a gray pair of these Hiker Micro Crew socks recently while in Yellowstone area and fell in love with them. I had to have another pair and color! I wear a size 7 shoe so I originally bought the Small. I thought at first they were a little too small for me but my feet were freezing that day and I needed them. They have a snug fit yet you can pull the toe area out a bit if you like more room. The glove fit seemed almost compression and never moved in my shoes or hiking boots later. No friction rubs under my toes.....they really were comfortable and my feet stayed dry. ... show more
