Definitely size up!!! These run short and narrow. I have several pairs of Dansko sandals. And I have narrow feet. I disregarded the reviews that mentioned these sandals run small and narrow. I used shoes stretchers to make them work but I wish I had sized up.

These have the same base as the Dansko Sam and Sophie and Season shoes. I have the Sophie shoes and they are a DREAM (like walking on clouds!) so I was very excited to buy these. However, they run large. I am a solid size 40. Once in a blue moon I'm a 41 but never, ever a 39... except with these shoes. Somehow, these are too big. My foot slips forward so that the arch is not lined up, even if I tighten the buckle at the back. When I walk, my toes slip so far through the peek-a-boo at the front that they actually hang off the front of the shoe. The ball of my foot is pretty wide (I have bunions) so it's not that my foot is slender. It's the shoe. I'll order again in a 39, but I am pretty sure the shoe will still be too loose.
