I wore dansko while working in the ER, and tried these for my new job which included standing for hours in a conference floor. These were great! I could go all day without any pain. Bonus, they look fantastic with jeans or dress pants. I did size up because my socks are a little thicker. I purchased these to wear for work. I'm on my feet all day and average between 10K to 18K steps. I needed something that looked a little dressier than the 2 pair of Dansko clogs that I already owned. These were the perfect thing to wear with my jeans and even with my dresses. Since I work in a Tasting Room and Restaurant I needed to be sure that they were slip resistant, as going through the kitchen the floors can sometime be wet. I find that the shoes fit true to size, the quality of the leather and the durability of being able to just wipe them off if they get dirty is great. These are shoes for under 5k steps for me. Beautiful, buttery material, excellent construction, but the angle of the shoe makes it so that my foot slides forward. Ordering a larger size would just increase the back gap at the heel. My foot is slightly wider than average, and I’ve had bunionectomies. I added several different pads to make this elegant shoe work: - one at the top to prevent the forward foot slide - a pad at the ball of the foot - a metatarsal teardrop support Then I wore them on my work commute. Hours later, my feet are beat, and I’m at 8200 steps. My pinkie toes are rubbed raw. So I will only wear these cuties when I’m not commuting and know I’ll be seated some of the time, and wear Dansko booties for real walking. ... show more

Dansko has been my go to heavy wear shoes company for years. From nursing shifts to high school teaching to all day on my feet projects. they stood the test of time and style. This is the first pair that did not fit right. The styls is great for almost year round wear. The local store only has the smaller size (at a higher price). The next size may be too big with wear. Sorry to let them go...but maybe one of the other styles will work. ... show more
