Danskos
Like the color, material and fit. First pair and like the arch support. Sizing is confusing as some people like these to fit very loose while others like them to fit tighter on the heel. Was told there should be a fingers width from foot to back of clog. Easy on and off. Like look with jeans.

have not found anything better
I just finished 4 12 hour shifts on an acute care unit with a 9 to one ratio so u can imagine I don't get to sit much. I am a 230 lb 6 foot man so my feet take quite a beating. I have run the gambit when it comes to shoes (Nike - complete junk, Dawgs- almost junk, All Pro- not bad but hurt the top of my foot, and so on). My wife is also a nurse and kept telling me to get Dansko's but I kept trying to go cheaper. These are the best shoes I have worn thus far. The fit is excellent and the look pretty good but most important my feet are not in pain. Don't get me wrong my feet are tired and it's great to be off today and be on the couch with them up but no pain. I easily walked two marathons over the last 4 days and my feet feel the best in these over all the other brands I have tried. Just go ahead and get them I'm confident they will be the best u have had on ur feet to. ... show more

Comfortable but big

I'm a Podiatry Resident and my typical work day involves standing up for a good 6+ hours in the OR in the morning followed by just as much if not more hours of walking and rounding on patients in the hospital and seeing them in clinic. So with that said it was no surprise that at the end of the day my feet would be killing me from standing up on them all day without giving them a rest. A lot of my co-residents and lots of Attending at the hospital swear by Dansko Shoes and claim that they can't work without them. So I decided to give them a try. Two days after my order these shoes came in. I'm usually a 10.5-11 in shoes so I ordered a size 44 (10.5-11). When I tried the shoes on they were grossly over sized, I'd say a whole size to a size and a half so that when i tried walking with them my foot would move back and forth in the shoe and I could feel all my toes contracting when I tried to take the stairs so that the shoes wouldn't fall off my foot. Needless to say my foot was tired and hurting about 10 minutes into walking with the shoe. With the size difference out of the way I would still rate the shoes as great because I noticed they have a great arch support, an ample toe box (The are surrounding your toes) and a well made design. I contacted amazon the same day I got these shoes and they sent out a size 43 pair of shoes (9.5-10) that should be delivered to me sometime in the next 2 days as well as pick up my over sized shoes for FREE. Even though I didn't receive my new sized shoes yet I am really impressed by Amazon's service and also by the design of Dansko shoes. It is built with the biomechanics of the foot in mind which is great to see a shoe company do. So the take home message here is either try these shoes on in the store or order them a size SMALLER than your typical sneakers. Fit and quality unchanged in 20+ years!
I bought my first pair of Dansko clogs in the early '00s, wore them daily for years, and then wore them more periodically for years after that. The soles finally split last year so I recently invested in a new pair. My expectations were low because it had been 20-some-odd years since I bought the ones I was replacing. But oh gosh almighty, do these new shoes look and feel exactly like my old ones! I am so SO pleased. Best investment for my feet ever. Love these shoes! ... show more

Comfortable work shoe.
This was my second pair of Danskos and I still didn’t get it right. I needed these for clinical and the toe box was tight along with right atop my foot gave me the most problems in this clog. I was so happy to switch to another pair after graduation. Needless to say, I have the sizing together and now have 3 different pair in the closet. Weird, I know! ... show more

Don't feel like old Dansko's
This is the third pair of Dankso clogs I have bought. I am an avid exerciser (often twice daily running and cross training) and have the knees to prove it. I have very narrow feet with high arches. I am editing this review after receiving my Dankso clogs and wearing them for one day. First of all, these feel NOTHING like the pairs I have from 5-7 years ago. The narrows fit too widely. I tried wearing thicker socks which helped a little. I have NEVER had a break in period with my first two pairs; felt awesome straight from the box. After one day, I couldn't wait to take them off. Not only were they too wide, but my right 5th toe and metatarsal were really achy and sore from the way the shoes fit. I will try giving them to my sister who has wider feet. Yuck! Prior reviewers have stated that they've changed to Sanita clogs (which manufactured the original Dansko clogs) since the newer Dansko clogs are now made in China. Too bad they didn't drop the price to match the quality. ... show more
