This Dansko shoe in size 39 (9-91/2) was too long and too wide. This is the size I wore in Dansko in the past. The shoe is attractive, well made and padded with memory foam for a comfortable feel. My heel did not hurt wearing the shoe. I purchased a Dansko shoe again on recommendation from my Podiatrist for a returning problem of calcium deposits on my heel, needing a higher heel than my sneakers. I have purchased 6 pairs of Dansko in the same size for my heel. The quality control on sizing is not up to five years ago when every 39 fit the same. So far I have kept two pairs, returned three (this one big and wide), another too small and a third a clog too high in the leather on top. The two I kept fit in size 39. The sixth pair I’m wavering about keeping. It is slightly short in front (toes up to the front edge), but very comfortable and the straps work and my heel doesn’t hurt. I may return and reorder that other Dansko style in a size 10. I would highly recommend this style if you have a wide foot or high arch. I don’t. ... show more

Definitely high volume shoes. My feet are swimming in them. The buckle doesn't help how loose the heel or front strap is. Comfortable sole, and correct size in length.

Roomy rounded toe, soft suede with a memory foam footbed. These are my first pair of Dansko but certainly not my last! I love the modern chunky look with a pair of linen pants or with a dress.

    • Nice Features, But Strap and Fit Didn’t Work for Me

I really wanted to love these shoes! The arch support is great, the toe box is nice and wide, and the memory foam is soft and squishy. But unfortunately, the midfoot area is too narrow for my wider feet — my foot hangs over the edge, which gets uncomfortable. The ankle strap also isn’t very secure; even on the tightest setting, I can easily slip a finger in with room to spare. If you have narrower feet and don’t need a snug ankle fit, these might work better for you. ... show more

These sandals are beautiful and so comfy! I struggled to find many reviews on them, so I took a gamble and bought them. I’m so glad that I did. The craftsmanship is amazing. The food bed is very soft and almost has a memory foam layer, and the arch support is very good. These look great with everything from jeans to shorts to spring dresses.
