The box was open when I received it. A little tape would have prevented my screw pack from falling out. I had screws at home, so I kept it. The instructions are strange, they have you put the glue on not really explaining if you need it and it came with three stickers to put on something??? for 48 hours which made no sense at all. I bought this to place my makeup brushes and foundation on so my vanity wouldn’t be cluttered. I actually didn’t have to actually use nails or anything the glue provided worked like a charm. I purchased one of these "floating" shelves earlier this year for a wine bottle display. I loved it so much that I have purchased another 2 to add additional shelving within a bookcase. They are super easy to install. All hardware is included - even additional hardware for multiple installation options. We have the 12, 16, and 20-inch shelves. These shelves are not deep shelves (only about 5 inches) and there is a small (about 1/4 inch into the shelf and maybe1/16 of and inch upward) tilting lip at the front. I have items (stamp cases) extending beyond the front of the shelf and you cannot tel that it is not a flat shelf. ... show more

This shelf is a good value. I’d forgo the adhesive tape unless something lite is going on it but the shelf itself is nice and sturdy. Use the included anchored or go with a coupl drywall screws. My guess is that this shelf could hold some decent weight if properly screwed to the wall. Holds my weighty center channel speaker with ease. ... show more
