Description

The Renegade is where comfort meets craftsmanship. Made with a distressed bay apache leather foot under a matching shaft that's stitched with a traditional western design. Leather lining, round toe, Removable Soft Strike Orthotic and leather outsole. Whether you're hitting the countryside or the cityscape, this boot from Dan Post is the best way to do it. It's made from allover mignon leather which is durable and built to last, on top of being ultra-stylish, and the tonal embroidery on the shaft gives it a handsome western appeal. Pull tabs on each side of the shaft are super convenient, and the cushioned insole ensures day to night comfort. P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); A legend in western boots, Dan Post owns a tradition and a reputation for making the world's finest cowboy boots. We combine handcrafted cushion comfort technology with traditional western boot flair. From classic western to exotic leathers, Dan Post gives the wearer handsome, rugged, top quality boots. • Good price, great boot.
Size: 9.5 Color: Bay Apache
Bought these boots after reading reviews of Dan Post, Nocona, Justin, and Chippewa boots. I wanted an every day work boot that would protect me in the woods and pastures, and that would last for as long as I could wear them out. I wanted protection from snakes (copperheads, mostly), something I could pull on and off without a lot of work, and comfort in temperatures from freezing to over 100 degrees. I am very glad I bought these Dan Post boots. They fit perfectly, right on size, right out of the box. They were comfortable without needing a break in period. I wore them every day for 2 weeks as soon as I got them, working clearing pastures from woods and they were exactly what I hoped for. Now I wear them to work in several times a week, and they are great for all I do. The workmanship is excellent, they look very good, they fit comfortably, and they stand up to use. We'll see how they do over time, but I can say without reservation that I would buy these boots again, as my first choice. Update Dec 2020, 4 and 1/2 years later. Well , these boots gave out after a few years. Honestly, I can't blame the boot--I got them wet, I stomped out a bunch of wood pile fires with them and I was not very careful with them. They were farm boots, pasture boots, and barn boots. Still they lasted at least 3 1/2 years without a problem. Oh no, that's not true. The rubber pad on the heel of one boot came off and I had to nail it back on with a tack hammer. Kind of felt like the cobbler elves in "The Elves and the Shoemaker"! But, finally, the sole separated from the leather and I have big holes in the side of the boots. No elf can fix that. I guess I could blame that on the boot or the maker, but in fact, it is my fault. I am very very very hard on boots, and these held up about 2 years longer than I expected. I burned them, wet them, flooded them and abused them and they are just still the coolest boot ever made. They look MARVELOUS! Every time I wear them (even with the secret holes in the side) I get compliments. When I pull them on, I FEEL like a cowboy, even if I'm just a farmer slogging thru the back pastures. I will ABOLUTELY buy another pair, if my people don't buy one for me. I do have them in my wish list, hint, hint. If you want the truth, I love these boots, I'll certainly buy another pair, and I do notice you looking at me when I walk past while wearing them. ... show more

I love these boots!! They fit great, feel good, look real good, and are made better than my more expensive pair. Well worth the price.

  • Best Boots Ever: Comfortable & Attractive
Size: 9 Wide Color: Bay Apache
My first pair of adult western boots were rough-outs. Liked them fine, but they had no cushion and minimal arch support. Got caught up in style, so the next pairs were rattlesnake, then shark, then ostrich. Beautiful and sometimes even comfortable, but all very pricey. Got a pair of Dan Post's simple black leather and loved the comfort fit, but I'm too lazy to polish them all the time. These Milwaukees are the best of all worlds. They're more comfortable than sneakers or boat shoes, and they always look great, even when they're dusted with mess of Sonoran desert. Wear them every day. ... show more

  • Will they fit?
I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to keep these boots. I have large calves about 16¼-inch, normally wear a size 8½ in Anne Klein, Madden Girl, and Liz Claiborne shoes as well as Bare Traps boots, and wear a size 9 in Steve Maddens and Audrey Brooke pumps. My last leather boots purchased from DSW were beautiful, but the glued soles did not last and couldn’t be fixed by our local shoemaker. I wanted my next pair to be all leather including the soles. Fondly remembered the quality and fit of my old Dan Post boots from the 1980s, I decided to give the Santa Rosa boots a try. Amazon listed them as a “free return” product, so what did I have to lose? The first time on, the boot was perfect in the foot but extremely tight in the calf. I researched many boot sites and one in particular said something about leather boots being able to be stretched. I conditioned the leather AND weatherproofed them prior to wearing them. After four days of wearing the boots, my Santa Rosa boots are very comfortable all over including in the calf. I’m not sure how they will feel if I try to wear them jeans tucked into boots, but under jeans with trouser socks, I wear them all day long from the moment I get up until the moment I go to sleep. My feet are warm, dry, and happy! The quality of the boot is what I expected from Dan Post Boots, beautifully stitched detail, great color (Tan), all leather, though I had to look up the term “Mad Cat” i.e. goat. Thinner than my old suede, they fit like a glove. I am THRILLED that I took the chance and kept the boots, and I already have my second pair of Dan Post Boots on my wish list for Santa! ... show more

  • Uh, no.
Size: 12 Color: Bay Apache
Immediately returned. Feels like they were whittle from a log. Extremely rigid. Very uncomfortable. Too narrow. Almost needed a fence come-a-long to remove them. Oh haul no.

Very, very comfortable they look worn in before you even wear them. The soles are perfect. These are great boots for the price.
