I purchased this coffee originally at a specialty shop for German products. For a darker roast it is very smooth and flavorful without any bitterness. I would highly recommend.

Once I discovered Dallmayr I had no reason to order from any other company. The thing I especially love is that their "pound" is 17.6 oz. Most American sources think a pound is 12 or less ounces. And it's priced quite reasonably.

I really love this coffee, because it never upsets my stomach. If I am traveling and in need of a coffee, I always have to ask for a small cup in a medium cup and the difference filled with hot water. It hardly ever tastes good. I know Dallmayr in Munich, Germany, and I trust them to deliver the best coffee possible.

Was stationed in Germany and would drink Tchibo, Jacobs and Dallmayr coffees. All are excellent choices but Dallmayr is a step above with its lack of acidity and bold flavor. Perfect for starting the day and enjoying later on.
