They are very lite in weight but these are not human dreads.. the hair is still curly from the cheap pack they used to create the dreads. I love the look of my hair after install. They are easy to work it. I found the wrap and palm twist method the easiest for individual ones. It took 4 bag to give this thickness because of the size of the the hair. You need the small crochet latch if you are going to do the pull through method because they are smaller than the original pictures suggest. This was my first install and I am not hair-capable but its looks like a pro did it, The hair is very bouncy and soft. Not hard and heavy and easy to sleep with. The only trouble I had with the product was that the first shipment consisted of just one pack of hair but that was fixed and it was good after that. They even sent some hair accessories that I did not use, looked kind cheap and too shiny but it was the thought that counted. ... show more

Giving an update after 2-3 months ... the locs are successfully locked in after many washes and conditioning in the shower from root to end of extensions .. I did try to color and boy was that a special type of irritation.. my natural dreads even struggled the extensions did not dye at all not one strand .. I understand that locs are thick but the extensions were still black after added 3 boxes of dye for specifically them including bleach .. just my roots got the color I was looking for so I dyed it back black again.. I may keep it this way until idk.. I may transition out .. I’m prepping for med school so I am relaxing on hair dye from now on. Coloring and doing two strand twist is a struggle ... show more

I had to return this item and the seller immediately refunded my money but they were very thick and I would say the pic is very misleading cause they look thinner than they are and the ends are not natural looking. It’s not for black hair. it is not professionally made or made from kinky curly hair. it’s made of human hair that is 3a or 3c at BEST! it will not blend in with 4c hair and i recommend washing it before you do anything with it. not sure what the hair was processed it but i did an AVC rinse and shampoo and the water was dark brown 🤢. luckily the person who i put the hair is 3c but it’s very misleading with the pictures. its not kinky hair whatsoever. you can google kinky loc extensions to get accurate locs for black hair. i really am hoping this product works well for my husbands hair but i’ll be honest i’m not hopeful with the way it looks. I really wish i can see reviews of folks who have had it in for over a year to see the results cuz this is very iffy. even some of the review pics looking back i can see some peoples hair looks more like white dreads than african dreads and i feel stupid smh. as we know white peoples hair does not take to dreads well. the combed out portions had to be combed out more and so much hair came out bc the hair isn’t fully locked and properly crocheted. it’s giving me the impression there will be A LOt of slippage which would be really embarrassing. i’ll update in 2 months to see if they held. ... show more

This hair had a slight chemical smell out of the package. It was extremely soft so I was excited. Initially, the texture was that of 4B hair but without the thickness. Once bleached for 30mins, the hair became closer to 4A hair texture and the color only lifted 1 shade. I conditioned the hair, let it air dry, then bleached the hair again. It then lifted to a medium brown color. The hair texture completely fell into 3B texture which is slightly wavy. The hair maintained its softness, but it is clear that this is NOT Afro-kinky hair. It may be a hybrid blend of synthetic and human hair. The burn test went okay. But due to the difficult bleaching process and the red strands of thread I found throughout the hair, I am lead to believe this is a hybrid blend. I cannot use this on my hair as I know it will not blend or fuse properly for loc extensions. ... show more

I've had permanent loc extensions twice before. The last set I bought from a seller on Etsy. I paid like over $600 for 100 of them. Come to find out they were synthetic and not 100% human hair. Yeah, I was pissed! I ended up buying these locs as a replacement and. These are the BEST locs ever! They're not itchy. They're not too thick. Not too small. They don't smell. And they're 100% human hair! I will NEVER buy locs from anybody else! So many sellers out there will tell you it's human hair and it ends up being a synthetic blend. Especially on Etsy! I love these locs. I've been trying to save up the money to have these installed for good and I finally have them! I'm so happy. They will be installed on the 28th this month.
