We tested these recently in real-world rough conditions on a trip to RMNP in March, during that epic snowstorm. I'm not sure of bodily proportions for kids from other places, but I don't know any kid (even the fat ones) with a butt that big and legs that short. The leg-length was fine but the seat of the pants was a little far down my my son's thighs. He's not an oompa-loompa... The product worked OK, otherwise. Minor complaint - The 'belt' is a joke just use a real one. Did a decent enough job otherwise with sledding and hiking. If you sit long enough in the snow it will eventually get wet, so spray them down with some waterproofing. Reasonably warm otherwise.

My 11 year old loves these pants. He uses them for scouts and other activities. They do get wet though and he has gotten pretty cold. We love that they are not to bulky and can be used for hiking as well as other snow sports. They held up for tubing.

The media could not be loaded. As I state in the video, the sizing is really off. I bought 3 pants (one 8 and two 10-12) as I have 3 boys who normally wear those sizes. The 8 yr old fits in his okay. The waist is probably fine for him but they run long (even though he’s very tall and skinny). The next size up (10-12) is drastically off. My boys are getting to the upper limits in that size range but both pairs of the pants in this size were WAY too large - both in the waist and the length. I can wear them with room to spare in the waist and I’m 5’2 and 120lbs. These aren’t high quality pants but I don’t like to spend a lot when they go through them so fast. They feel warm enough as long as you have good thermals, look nice enough and have reinforced knees so I think they’d hold up for a bit. I’ll update once the youngest has used them. Also, all 3 did come with belts. I’ll try to trim my video when we get back from our ski trip but I wanted to get this info out for anyone trying to buy last-minute gear.
