Very well pleased with this violin. Had a cheaper violin when I first started to play the violin, and there is no comparison between the two. Everything seems to be set up great and sound is beautiful.

Initial impressions. First, the case: excellent. Very nice quality BAM case, outstanding protection and support for the instrument. Storage pouch for rosin and accessories. Combination lock, shoulder straps, storage for two bows and sheet music. Highest marks. The bows: Appear to be good quality, one wood (reputed to be pernambuco), one carbon fiber. The instrument: Label inside states that it is a model 609 DZ Strad Profesional Handmade violin. Fit and finish are acceptable, not remarkable. Setup appears good, Aubert bridge properly placed, G string measures 5.5mm from the end of the fingerboard, E string measures 3.75mm. All strings pluck in tune right out of the case. This is as far as I can get at this time, because the violin outfit came WITHOUT ROSIN. None. Zilch. Zero. Nada. I cannot play it until my separate order of rosin (and shoulder rest) arrive tomorrow. The description specifically states that rosin is included, and I didn't order more at the time I placed this order because I wanted to see what it came with. I wasn't expecting much, but at least enough to make the bows playable. So, initial impressions, instrument as yet unplayed: Appears to be a decent quality violin, wood has good grain, everything is in place. Don't count on getting everything stated in the description. Interlude, awaiting rosin Okay, rosin up the bow and begin: Wow! This instrument has beautiful tone even under my less-than-expert hand. The notes ring pure and true, the action is comfortable. Pianissimo through forte, this violin sings beautifully. The wooden bow is well balanced, with excellent bounce and response (Kaplan dark rosin). I have no doubt that this instrument will suit my needs for the foreseeable future, and well beyond. ... show more

Amazing violin with amazing finishing. I got it with little scarches on the top but doesnt worth returning or exchanging. Im enjoying the violin everyday since 2017. I really recommend it.

The grade of "3" is for the cases' hooks which holds one of the bows were broken. FOr something as small as this and the seller to send this for a $1600 product is a bit on the nickel and diming the customer. The seller actually has contacted me and we have settled the issue. We are in fact quite happy with the Violin and my daughter is using it daily. Thanks you - very professional dealer .... We are quite satisfied. ... show more
