Finally a reed case that can hold the wider Legere (european cut) bass clarinet reeds. Most other case advertised as for bass clarinet reeds are to narrow for the wider reeds. Also, in a pinch, will hold the smaller soprano clarinet reeds. Case very compact.

These are very convenient holders. Reeds fit securely, but can't be clamped down if you shove them inside con tutta forza! The slots are numbered and the cases are color coded, so organizing is easy and I can find that one good reed with ease. Since I play a lot of reed instruments, it helps to keep reeds separated. For example, Alto could be blue, while same size holders for clainet can be red etc.. If I really got picky, I would wish for a greater variety of sizes... i. e. smaller holders for clarinet, and larger ones for Alto sax. Also, I don't see why Bass clarinet/tenor/bari holders couldn't be a little smaller. There is enough room to "downsize"... and storage in cases is at a premium! ... show more

Inexpensive, well-designed reed holder. Reeds stay in place. Allows reeds to dry properly between playing sessions. This is my number one recipe in this price range.
