This is the second time I've purchased a similar bag. The size is great for work use or traveling. Lots of pockets, not heavy, holds my laptop, tablet, a light jacket, snacks, etc. Issue with the strap clasps, they are low quality plastic and continue to pop off when wearing it in backpack mode. This has caused it to fly off completely, dropping things out and making laptop crash down. Using it as a tote but when it's loaded, that's heavy... love it except that malfunction. ... show more

I've really loved this bag. I travel alot with my family and I'm always the one carrying kids water bottles, snacks, jackets etc. So this bag fits all of it and more, has very comfy straps, love that it converts from backpack to over the shoulder to messenger style. I have use it in the rain and had no problems showing it was waterproof however I just took it rafting and some things inside got wet so not sure if because it was sitting in a wet raft. Great storage inside and on outside. I love the size of it to where it's bigger than a mini backpack but not as big as a regular backpack, I can fold it easily for traveling, expands to fit a ton of stuff but still feels comfortable carrying it on my back. I love this tote! I wasn't sure how well it would work for me, but I really like the three ways to carry it - the tote handles, a removable shoulder strap, or wear as a backpack. Pros: It has a semi-professional appearance, and I especially like that it is not as bulky as a regular backpack. The backpack straps tuck away nicely when you don't need them and its great to give my shoulder a break from having a tote and a purse on it. As a backpack, loaded with a laptop plus my paperwork for w@h, it is really comfortable! I've not tried the shoulder strap yet, but have used the handles as a shoulder tote and they fit on my shoulder easily. I am going to downsize my purse and toss a wallet in the tote vs. carrying a regular purse. Dell Inspiron & Latitude 15" laptops fit well in the padded section though are too long for the velcro strap to reach over them to secure them in the pocket, but there is plenty of room for the top zipper to zip so they are very secure. Since my schedule varies as to w@h and w@o days, it's so handy to use this tote every day instead of adding a computer bag to my tote and my purse and anything else I might have to carry that day. I can't see ever using the charging port and haven't tried it (but there should be a pocket/sleeve for a power bank in the interior and there isn't). The net pockets on the side safely hold my 24-oz Rubbermaid Chug water bottles. Since the bottles are tall I wasn't sure they would stay in the pocket but they are very secure. So many of the 'tumbler' pockets are far too short, but these are perfect. Cons: The lack of useful pockets is disappointing. There are no pockets in the main compartment, unless you count the laptop sleeve as a pocket. The front and back pockets are very shallow so not very useful - the only thing that fits in the back pocket is the shoulder strap. I'm a bit surprised there is no interior pocket for a mouse or cords - they might fit in a front pocket but not well. The interior is black, and since this tote is narrow and a bit tall it's hard to see smaller stuff. I have a white plastic grocery back in the bottom so I can see a bit but that doesn't work very well. I'll probably have to come up with some kind of pouch to serve in place of a pocket, but I shouldn't need to do that (that said - I could make it not-black so I can see it!). The hardware is plastic or nylon. I've only had it a couple of weeks and no issues so far, but previous experience with plastic/nylon hardware has not been good. Hopefully they will hold up. Conclusion: It's so worth it!! Would definitely buy it again. However it could stand some improvements - definitely use metal hardware instead of plastic, and add at least one useful pocket to the interior for those of us who are using it for more than just a computer tote. ... show more

It’s not exactly what I had in mind but I love it. I got it to be my personal item when traveling as it has the trolley strap and at least a couple of pockets plus the water bottle spot. I also chose it because one can wear it as a backpack or sling or even as a tote so it seemed perfect for travel. I’ve been using it as my official school bag. I’m a teacher and found this to be much better than all my other large bags suited for work. It fits perfectly under the seat. I don’t know if you’ve flown Frontier recently, but they have upped their game for personal items. We used to be able to take a book bag jammed full of stuff and put it under our seat. Now they make you put your bag into a measuring compartment. If it doesn’t fit you have to pay $50 in order to take it with you. This book bag will fit into the compartment no matter how much you stuff into it. It’s been a piece of mind product for me. It’s constructed well. The green part did stain easily.
