It’s portable/rechargeable so you don’t have to plug it into your car another bonus you can pump it right down at the edge of the water if you wanted. Also great because you don’t need a long cord to connect from your car cigarette lighter to the back of your car/trunk. I had 2 incidents. One where my friends car battery died after we got back from paddling, (possible user error). 2nd when I plugged the dolphin pump into my electric car and it short circuited and started smoking. First time using it. Returned it promptly. I decided then I didn’t want to plug anything into my car. And found this…! It’s super fast (7 minutes for a full board), easy, small and has enough juice to pump 2 boards and deflate one as well.

This is the best air pump I've ever used. Very smart, automatically switches between high flow and high pressure. Pumps my board to 15psi within 7 minutes and used about 1 bar of battery. It's a bit loud in high pressure mode but shows how powerful it is. Very pleased with the result.

This thing is loud AF but definitely worth the $. It stops automatically when it gets to the designated PSI, as advertised. It took less time to pump up than I take when I’m doing it manually, but honestly it can take as long as it wants because I don’t have to do it myself and my arms are spared arm day LOL. It can also be used to charge other devices, per the packaging- haven’t had a chance to try that part out yet. Glad I got it!

Battery lasts literally to inflate my paddle board one time and then if you want to go paddling again another day, make sure you remember to recharge this otherwise, the battery will be drained after one use. If you want to recharge it from your car’s USB, FORGET IT. It won’t simultaneously pump up your paddle board while charging. I’ve tried that and it will die on you 1 minute into pumping. Pretty disappointing, seeing that I paid over $100 for it. Better to buy one that plugs into the cigarette lighter and doesn’t need to be charged.

Bought this to use at our boat dock. We can air up 3 inflatable paddle boards and an inflatable ramp used by our dogs get onto the dock from the water, and still have power to completely deflate all 4. Each paddle board takes about 5-7 minutes to inflate, and the ramp takes 3-5 minutes. I can’t express how much this air pump has simplified our days on the lake.

Just buy the pump and spend more time on the water! I set it up then get my kids ready to head out. Had to buy a second one because my first pump’s battery stopped holding a charge after its 3rd use. Company sent me a refund without issue. I considered other brands but this one really does seem to be the best!
