This looks like automobile carpet and I was using outdoors to keep a table from scratching and being so hot. Well, it's plastic and some kind of carpeting, no cork at all. It's now misshapen from the heat. BUT despite all this, it still does what I bought it for, which was to keep the metal table top from being so hot for my Bose speaker when outdoors.     • Large cork mat saves hardwood floor
I'm using it to set my new Rubbermaid metal bullet trash can on as a preventative measure. We have nice new hardwood floors, so needed something to keep the can from scratching the wood.

    • IT IS NOT CORK!
Clearly false advertising. The description says that it's cork; and it looks like cork in the photo. IT'S NOT! The part that is supposed to be cork is some cheap polyester felt-like material. Also, $28 is way overpriced for what you get. Don't waste your time on money with this item.

I bought this for a kitchen table pad for my turn table rather than for plants. The cork layer is thin so hot plates cause the plastic bottom to warp a bit. It is probably fine for plants but not for the table.

The photo and description shows a brownish 16 inch cork mat. However, what I received was a gray felt mat: cheap and flimsy and looks awful. What you will get is nothing at all what it looks like in the photo. In all the correspondence I had with the company, all they did is send back the same, meaningless, form letter. I don't think they actually ever read the messages. Stay away from this company: misleading photo and description + non-existent customer service = bad combination. ... show more
