I've used CVLIFE stuff before and had very good results, and, I got these with a discount coupon, mostly because they're shake awake. Dot is visible and bright, shake awake works perfectly. No chance to actually try it in the field as of yet (hence the 4 rating), but I'm sure it'll be wonderful,

I was looking for a red dot sight for 9mm carbine and came across this one. Features and ruggedness of this product are rarely found in this price range…installation was simple. This was my first CV Life purchase. At around $40 on sale, I put it on a newly built .22 LR AR upper. It zeroed well and I really like it. The shake awake works well. Granted, .22 LR is not giving it much of test, but the battery is lasting and the zero is holding. The mount allows for a center co-witness with the flip up front and rear sights. For a very budget red dot, I am impressed. I might get one for a .223 and see how it holds up. ... show more

I thought the dot on this would be a little more fine but I am using it on a BP shotgun so accuracy isn't that big of a deal. I did have to return the first one I received because the dot was slanted and hazy. The replacement was better but to me the dot still looks a little splotchy.
