Top Amazon Reviews

  • Almost Perfect!
Style: 20mm Picatinny
WARNING: Kind of long review skip to the end if you are looking for the short review. If I could give this a 4.5 I would But you can't so gave it a 5 because 4 just isn't fair. Let me start out by saying you might not be able to beat this for the money. I say might because I have ordered the CVLIFE 3-9x40 Compact Rifle Scope Crosshair Reticle and with this only being 5 dollars more than the 3-9x40AO it might be better. Stay tuned for an update in about a week. I am one of those odd individuals that gets a kick out of trying to find the cheapest things that end up being gold. I will also say all returns are through Amazon and lets be real, having UPS come pick up the order for your return, or even having to drive 10ish min down the road to drop it off is not really a hassle. Now I will say waiting for it to get back to Amazon and then x number of days for your bank is a bit annoying. So trying out a 40 dollar item that I can return is a no brainer. Now for the pro's and con's. PRO: Super cheap! Fast Shipping! Took all of 6 rounds to sight in at 25 yards.... it was dead on on the horizontal axis, and about an 2 inches off on the vertical. Took me 6 shots because I wanted to test to see if the 1 "click" or turn was about 1 in at 25. And it was close. Also keep in mind you will be about 1.5 - 3 inches high depending on what caliber you are shooting at 100 yards . For the few reviews that say that they made an adjustment and it didn't move and then made another and it "jumped" twice the adjustment.... This also happens on a 1000+ dollar Trijicon. That's why in the military they tell you to smack it a few times before shooting your next group. (Disclaimer this is a 40 dollar sight I personally wouldn't recommend smacking it lol). Anyways when pushed out to 100 yards took 12 rounds to start putting holes in holes. The mounts it comes with are actually great. They tighten down with ease and the mounts have rubber pads to absorb shock and protect the scope. I have seen/used high dollar brand name rings that didn't have this. They say 3.9 inch eye relief and that is about right... I tried it anywhere from about 2.5 - 4.5 in and didn't notice a difference. CONS: At Maxed out magnification it does get slightly and I do mean slightly blurry. As great as the mounts are the screws are cheap so be carful when tightening them down. Also the provided Allen key doesn't seem to fit right. So just use your own and tighten it down hand tight. If you are the hulk maybe half hand tight. Also the mounts are high so if you want a low profile or a small person you will want shorter mounts to get that good cheek weld. Used on a 5.56 AR-15. Held zero on a 400 round day shooting without any kind of brace. And was accidently dropped like a foot. Which brings me to my last pro. For 40 dollars it held up to any kind of drop! PRO & CON: For the money I don't really fell like this is a huge Con but the Parallax is about 50-75 yards off at 100 yards. I had it set at roughly 150-175 the last number marking is 200 and than infinity. Conclusion: If you are on a tight budget 100% buy it. And yes I would recommend this scope. ... show more

  • Recommended. Really great for the price range with nice features. Accuracy stays put.
Style: 11mm Dovetail
Pretty great scope. I haven’t had any issues with the scope and it is easy to adjust the crosshairs in the field. It stays steady on the rifle as long as you tighten the brackets and don’t bump it really hard. I dialed it in and it has stayed adjusted as set; i pretty much keep the magnification set to 9 so that is what I hd it set to when I dialed in the accuracy. Not sure what to do with the see-through caps as it has a yellow one i can put over the end to enhance the view but i find the view without yellow to be clear and easy to use. The only neutral point is how firm the adjustment ring is for distance; it takes work to adjust it and isn’t easy to twist. ... show more

  • Decent scope for the $ for a PCP not break barrel
Style: 20mm Picatinny
For the price not terrible. Windage adjustment has a dead space in all three of mine. Sighting in, the turret will make several clicks and the reticle will not move like there is play in it and then when it catches up going to the left and you need to go the other direction, you just keep clicking till it starts to move usually about a half a dozen clicks or so but when done will hold zero. Elevation does the same honestly, 4-6 click lag time. Adjustable objective work well and is pretty close on yardage accuracy. Power is good, clarity is good, ocular adjustment is also good. For the money you really can’t complain much. This is not and will never be a 3000$ Night Force scope that you can crank turrets for accurate POI at distance and would be impossible with the amount of play in windage and elevation adjustment but that said...it is a good backyard scope for a moderate PCP for Target and field hunting. This is NOT a scope for a break barreled rifle because with the reverse recoil they have would rip this scope and most other scopes that are not designed for that type of gun apart. If it wasn’t a decent deal for what you get, I wouldn’t have 3 of them and only buy the CVLife brand because the other brands that I have tried had lots of problems and hate sending them back till I get a good one...if ever. ... show more

  • Excellent quality for a budget scope.
Style: 20mm Picatinny
Works extremely well for a budget scope. AO and clear picture. Using it on a bolt action 5.56. I compare this to other low end scopes I have and it is superior.

  • Replacement on Point
Style: 11mm Dovetail
Well the one I received was already open and in a clear bag. box damaged, scope loosely floating around the box with a balled up bubble warp sleeve stuffed in the corner. Ordered 3-9x40 AO box says that but inside is a basic 3-9x40 ultimately I wouldn't really mind considering the one I use but that's not what I paid for. Replacement Arrived in proper condition and the actual correct scope this time! Solid construction and a sturdy fit. May be a bit much for an air rifle but beats the basic 3x32 it came with. Update: Scope is amazing. while i could center a dime with my old 3x at 15 yards this one makes it childs play. However, I use this on a .177 break barrel air rifle, even after I maxed out the scopes height dial and still shoots exactly 1 mill dot low which is a little frustrating. Perhaps a 40 with the risers makes it too high and a smaller 32 would be more suitable. But the scope it self it a dream. ... show more

  • Decent budget scope
Style: 11mm Dovetail
I put this on an older Mossberg Rifle Calibered in 22wmr. It Dialed in fine, and held zero fine afterwards. The turrets on mine had good solid clicks, and nothing really felt "cheap" about it. The AO is really a great feature to get optimal viewing at different distances. The picture through this scope is nice and clear, and the cross hairs are just right for me. not too thick and not too thin. If it stays like it is now, I will be very happy. Not sure how this would hold up on high recoiling hunting rifles. I would just have to try it on one and see, but for rimfire, I think it is a safe bet. ... show more

  • Huge Upgrade for My Crosman F4 – Finally Shooting Dime Groups!
Style: 11mm Dovetail
I’ve had my Crosman F4 for a while, and while the rifle itself is solid, the stock scope was a nightmare. I could never get the windage dialed in — no matter how much I adjusted, I was always off. I spent way too much time and pellets trying to make that factory glass work, and it just wasn’t happening. After some research, I decided to give this CVLIFE 3–9×40 AO a try, and I couldn’t be happier. The difference was night and day. The adjustable objective lets me fine-tune parallax for my exact shooting distance, and the zoom is a game-changer — especially for older eyes like mine. The image is sharp, the crosshairs are crisp, and the turrets actually track where they should. From the moment I mounted it, I was able to zero it in within five or six minutes. A quick couple of adjustments at 20 yards, and I was stacking pellets exactly where I wanted them. I pushed it out to over 60 yards, and I’m now hitting dime-size targets consistently. That’s something I never thought possible with this rifle before. If you’ve been fighting with the stock scope on an air rifle like the Crosman F4, this is the upgrade you need. It’s affordable, clear, easy to adjust, and makes precision shooting actually fun again. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Did not fit my Gamo pellet gun
Style: 20mm Picatinny
The scope itself is very good for a small inexpensive scope for a pellet gun. The only issue I had was it did not fit my Gamo gun. Supposed to be 11mm and maybe it is but it slides on the rail of this gun so I had to return it. After 2 tries I gave up a bought a new gun.
