  • Good quality, low cost
I purchased this scope for a pump air gun, I liked the adjustable objective feature. It was too big/heavy for my Crosman 1322, so I put it in my 362 rifle. After putting about 50 rounds through it, it’s holding up well and holding zero. Clear optics. I think it’s a very good budget scope.

  • Almost Perfect!
WARNING: Kind of long review skip to the end if you are looking for the short review. If I could give this a 4.5 I would But you can't so gave it a 5 because 4 just isn't fair. Let me start out by saying you might not be able to beat this for the money. I say might because I have ordered the CVLIFE 3-9x40 Compact Rifle Scope Crosshair Reticle and with this only being 5 dollars more than the 3-9x40AO it might be better. Stay tuned for an update in about a week. I am one of those odd individuals that gets a kick out of trying to find the cheapest things that end up being gold. I will also say all returns are through Amazon and lets be real, having UPS come pick up the order for your return, or even having to drive 10ish min down the road to drop it off is not really a hassle. Now I will say waiting for it to get back to Amazon and then x number of days for your bank is a bit annoying. So trying out a 40 dollar item that I can return is a no brainer. Now for the pro's and con's. PRO: Super cheap! Fast Shipping! Took all of 6 rounds to sight in at 25 yards.... it was dead on on the horizontal axis, and about an 2 inches off on the vertical. Took me 6 shots because I wanted to test to see if the 1 "click" or turn was about 1 in at 25. And it was close. Also keep in mind you will be about 1.5 - 3 inches high depending on what caliber you are shooting at 100 yards . For the few reviews that say that they made an adjustment and it didn't move and then made another and it "jumped" twice the adjustment.... This also happens on a 1000+ dollar Trijicon. That's why in the military they tell you to smack it a few times before shooting your next group. (Disclaimer this is a 40 dollar sight I personally wouldn't recommend smacking it lol). Anyways when pushed out to 100 yards took 12 rounds to start putting holes in holes. The mounts it comes with are actually great. They tighten down with ease and the mounts have rubber pads to absorb shock and protect the scope. I have seen/used high dollar brand name rings that didn't have this. They say 3.9 inch eye relief and that is about right... I tried it anywhere from about 2.5 - 4.5 in and didn't notice a difference. CONS: At Maxed out magnification it does get slightly and I do mean slightly blurry. As great as the mounts are the screws are cheap so be carful when tightening them down. Also the provided Allen key doesn't seem to fit right. So just use your own and tighten it down hand tight. If you are the hulk maybe half hand tight. Also the mounts are high so if you want a low profile or a small person you will want shorter mounts to get that good cheek weld. Used on a 5.56 AR-15. Held zero on a 400 round day shooting without any kind of brace. And was accidently dropped like a foot. Which brings me to my last pro. For 40 dollars it held up to any kind of drop! PRO & CON: For the money I don't really fell like this is a huge Con but the Parallax is about 50-75 yards off at 100 yards. I had it set at roughly 150-175 the last number marking is 200 and than infinity. Conclusion: If you are on a tight budget 100% buy it. And yes I would recommend this scope. ... show more

  • I think it's good for what I need, and I am not trying to hit targets at 200 yards.
A friend once told me when buying a scope, I really need not look at anything unless it is $200.00 or more. Well, I'm a realist...I thought that was a bit creazy considering the 10/22 cost not much more than that. I live in a city that has no outdoor ranges near. The nearest one would be about 1 hour drive away. So for me, I will be doing mostly indoor stuff, at best 75 yards. So I may never get to take a 100 yard shot. For me, this scope fits that need perfect. I consider myself new to the sport, and before i spend a ton of money I need to understand the basics, so that I have something to gauge the best by. You ask me this is a first stop. Because I am not sure what I am missing when I use this. I can zoom in to my target very well. I can adjust the focus very easy, and the targets look very clear. My eyes are not great so I do at times loose the crosshairs when placing them on black targets. But consider that a small thing, considering the cost. I would buy again if I had too. ... show more

  • Great Value
I installed this scope on a Gamo .177 air rifle. It was easy to zero and appears well made. The toolless adjustments are very nice. After sighting it in, I have taken two shots resulting in two downed squirrels at about 20 yards. The optics seem a little strained zoomed at 9 power, so I just leave it at 7 power max and it is crisp. I've only fired about 10 shots, but all seems well, so far. ... show more

  • Mounted on .177 Umarex Fusion 2
Took around 5 shots to zero and has held through nearly 15 magazines. Amazing clear picture and works better than I expected, much better than my original scope. Definitely recommend this scope and now have 3 CVlife products including 2 red dots with similar results! I am a fan of the manufacturer and will be a returning customer! ... show more

  • Good priced scope. Seems to work fine. Shot 250 pellets n scope seems ok.
Initially I bought a 4-9X without AO. This was to replace that since I could not get a focus in my yard. This scope seems to hold zero. Spread is bit wide but I have to assume it is my poor skill and that it is a break barrel. Most of the spread is vertical so I think the barrel going up and down probably adds to this spread. Also I am not sure if the 4 clicks/moa is correct or not. My target is about 15 yds - 20 yds and it does not seem to match the adjustments. I take it that with lots of grain of salts since I am not a good shooter. I like the AO so I can focus on targets that is about 15 yds. I use it on max magnification but tried it low to high and it seems to hold the zero through the range. The large spread I really think it is my poor skill. Overall I am happy that I sent the Non-AO back and replaced it with this. I have another .22 pellet rifle (non-break barrel. It kicks the scope back) so I just ordered and 6-24X on Prime day to replace the stock. I hope it holds up. ... show more

  • It's good
It is really nice to sight in you don't have to use a key or whatever you have laying around to adjust it and I actually dropped my gun and it was on it it obviously nocked it out of line but I was able to sight it back in the only complaint I have is when you zoom in it will get blurry but good enough where I will buy another ... show more
