I initially used a big pair of pliers to remove stubborn carpet and backing. Very hard on the hands and the cheap plastic grips kept slipping off. Got these and it really grabs well-- has a large handle. Makes much easier work when ripping up the carpet and liner. much recommended.

I am a resort manager of 2 campgrounds and a hotel. In order to keep cost down during remodel and renovation of course I volunteered to rip out carpet like an awesome manager would! Day 1 I was not feeling the pliers and rushed to Amazon to see what I could use instead to make the job easier. I didn't even know this tool existed but it has been a huge help to enable me to be a huge help to my team! This tool is great made of heavy duty quality and made the job ALOT easier! If you are ripping up carpet this tool is a must and I will also suggest if you have a lot of carpet staples to remove from the subflooring there is a tool for that as well on Amazon!
