My granddaughter is 2 1/2 and plays with this set for hours. She loves to cut the fruit, crack the egg and make smoothies. She also is able to make toast. She needed a little help to learn the toaster, but is improving every time. The blender and the mixer work great and are sturdy. I would say the blender is her favorite but the mixer is a hit also. I think the mixer is harder to enjoy because you cannot have items in the bowl when running the mixer. However, it does come off and she enjoys to run it off the stand. Great buy! ... show more

I bought this toy for my daughter's birthday. It was a highly anticipated gift because she loves pretend cooking. I received my package in awful condition. The box was crushed and damp. I could not wrap it in it's original packaging, which wasn't a big deal for me but upon unboxing the items I found them damaged, mainly the blender crushed .. and several hazardous shards of hard plastic spilling out everywhere. I really wish I had thought twice before buying this especially since I have a small toddler in the home. It's unusable and a huge disappointment for my daughter's big day as well. ... show more

My kids (ages 5 and 3) love to play in their pretend kitchen and grocery shop, along with all the play food and little appliances, so I’m always looking for little sets to add to their collection. When I came across this one, I liked that the 3 appliances (blender, mixer, and toaster) all had “workable” components to them, which make them more fun and interactive- more like the real thing. I found the pieces of food seemed just a bit more cheap and thin than other brands of play food we have, but it’s still fun for the kids to play with for sure. This is more interesting and interactive that most pretend food sets. The appliances allow the kids to really immerse themselves in play, and there’s enough for multiple kids to play at the same time. The quality is comparable to today’s toy quality. Mostly thin plastic, though not necessarily worse than the average toy you’d buy these days. For the most part, things work fine, although I found that the toaster was a bit difficult to use. But the appliances are fun. The blender and mixer are battery operated and the toaster is a windup. Unfortunately the toaster doesn't actually pop up the toast, but the little one enjoys it regardless. It's a fun little kitchen set for the kids. The food uses velcro to hold them together so the kids can pretend to chop them up, and in the case of the banana, peel it. My experience with these that use velcro though is that they don't last long before the velcro tape fails. Magnetic versions are much better. ... show more
