Where do I begin? This is the best tool bag that I have ever owned. It is extremely well built and I love all the pockets and ways that I can organize my stuff. Also, the price is very reasonable for what you get. I bought this for work because the bag they gave me basically had one big opening for everything and about 3 pockets. I used to have to fish for the tools I need. Not anymore, I have all of my tools organized so finding what I need is a breeze. The large pocket is nice and deep and allows me to put my drill, a multi-meter kit and an entire socket wrench kit into it with space left over. The front zipper pocket is great and I have all of my tools organized very nicely. The handles are really tough and I can tell that the stitching will not be giving out anytime soon. The over the shoulder strap is very comfy and makes carrying this, when my hands are full, super easy. It has so many outside pockets, I love it. I almost went for the larger model and I am glad that I didn't, this one has more than enough space. Before you use it, I highly recommend that you get a spray can of some water repellent for boots/shoes and spray this thing down good. I ABSOLUTELY, DEFINITELY would recommend this to everyone

I use this tool bag to store and carry an assortment of tools and supplies during trips in our Class A motorhome. It’s the perfect size for me. Pros: - It’s sturdy and the carry handles wrap around and under the entire bag to better support the weight in the main compartment - There’s more than enough pockets of varying sizes to stow different-sized hand tools and supplies - You can arrange the items in the bag so that it’s way easier to find them which in turn makes repair jobs that much more efficient - The shoulder strap is nicely padded and rubberized so it won’t slip off of your shoulder Cons: - You have to be mindful of how you load the bag or else it will tip over onto the zippered side compartment with a typical hand tool load out - It would be nice if the main compartment used lighter colored material so you could more easily identify its contents You can easily load this bag with too many items and it looks like it will take it. You just have to realize that it *will* get heavy.

I bought this for telecom work. In the outside zippered pocket I have 2 punch tools, a 6 in 1 screwdriver, needlenose, dikes, wand, I have the toner in one of the mesh pockets, spudger, electrical tape, it has a couple little pockets for the thinner sharpies and a pair of channel locks. On the inside I have a plano style case for consumables, a small fish tape, butt-set, a bundle of cable ties and a roll of cross connect. In addition to that, today I also have a standard inter-tel phone in there as well. That makes the inside kind of full, but there's still some room left. My wand barely fits in one of the back row pockets, but it does. It seems like the stuff fits fine, It's not 'work' getting the outside zippered pocket section closed. It's not that heavy. Each aspect seems durable. I'd say it's stable when you set it down and open the side thing - I mean it's not inclined to roll over. I wish there was a bag specific for running into a business with the standard things I need to troubleshoot a phone, when I started I used a shoe box :), then I used a toolbox, then a bigger toolbox that was heavy, then a couple different styles of bags - computer and bookbag styles, then one of those little craftsman bags that are on sale all the time nowadays - until it was see-through and the pockets all had holes in the bottoms. I've spent a bunch of time looking at the random variations of toolbags at home depot and lowes, didn't buy any because most of them seem suited for electricians vs. 'service telecom', and I wanted an 'ideal'. I'm pretty happy with this. It has a little more look of 'construction' than 'technology' but it looks professional, holds my stuff well, has extra room in it in the event I need to stuff a lot in it and carry it a long way, and it's easy to see all my things in that side pocket so hopefully that will make me more inclined to notice when my toner is missing...! I think it will.

Intelligent use of space in this bag. I'm constantly carry my tools between jobs of various natures, so I need to keep a decent number of tools to tackle anything that comes up. My favorite feature (and the primary reason I purchased this bag) is the front zipper area that has tiered pockets for pliers, drivers, wrenches, etc, so you can access common tools with ease. Most other bags I've had or seen with tool pockets just have them around in the center chamber, and that is difficult to access and it doesn't accommodate anything longer than a pair of needle nose pliers... with this bag you can even keep a pair of channel locks upright in that front compartment. The design being like this mitigates the worst aspect of most tool bags, which is all your stuff ends up tossed into the middle chamber and impossible to find efficiently. Now I just have a drill and hammer in the middle chamber, and some screw/bit organizer boxes, and then plenty of room for random odds and ends that specific jobs require. At first I left the shoulder strap off because I assumed it would just be uncomfortable, but it's actually a great strap and I always use it now, freeing my hands up to carry other materials etc. I love the minimal size too... in order to carry all the tools I'm currently carrying in this bag, in the past I've needed a bag that was 50% larger. I get compliments regularly from other tool-minded people.

The bag I ordered and received (model 1537) only has a zip out organizer panel on one side. In the photos, the bag has zip out panels on both sides, which I was expecting. Amazon used photos of the larger model 1539 on the product page for model 1537, which is misleading. Since there doesn't seem to be any actual photos of the 1537 on Amazon, I've posted a few.* They also combined the reviews for both models, without indicating which model was being reviewed and most of the reviews look to be from purchasers of model 1539. Having said that, the 1537 is a great bag, very well made and the size is just right for my needs as an average homeowner. Looking at the reviews, there are quite a few people who bought a 1539 and thought it was too big for their needs, once they received it. The 1537 holds everything I'd need for most jobs and I keep less often used tools in seperate utility bags by application (plumbing, woodworking, etc.), which works out much better than having everything in a bag the size of the 1539. I also bought a DEWALT DG5103 Small Maintenance and Electrician's Pouch for electrical stuff and it fits in the main compartment, along with a drill, socket/ratchet set and organizer box for hardware, with room to spare. *Note: The photos I posted were removed by Amazon for some reason. The other photos are probably of the larger model 1539, which is misleading. Oh well, I tried. If you want to see what 1537 actually looks like, go to the manufacturer's website.

After owning this bag for 8 years, I guess it is time to write a review. I will be brief since the bag has done well and it is my goto tool bag on any job. I use all the pockets and I like the open interior space where I throw large 14" and 16" tools, wire brush, machinist hammer, file, other small bags and parts I need on the job. And since neatness counts, I throw trash in the large interior and clean it out later. I always like the feel of the handles when I carry the bag. The reason I write the review now is that I had looked to see if I could find the same bag to replace the one I have and had forgot I bought it on Amazon. Thing is I do not need to replace the tool bag yet, but I was planning ahead. I have got my money's worth and more so I will get another one when the time comes. Cheers

Alright, as an HVAC tech I used this bag for 6 months. It was a rough and busy summer so this bag went through a lot. I liked the idea and function of this tool bag but it just didn’t last. I started having issues with the zipper after the second month, but I kept going with it couldn’t go further. In all honesty it was a great bag as far as organization and the amount of tools it could hold! That being said, with all the hand tools I stored in the “front” pouch it caused the bag to always lean forward and fall over instead of just standing up straight. Wish it would have lasted longer. Maybe better suited for someone who’s not as rough on their tool bag.
