    • Decent, inexpensive wet weather boot...Nice fit for the extra big lower legged person.

Good construction; better than average fit for my extra-big lower extremities....The sizing for this boot appears to run larger than average; I've never, ever been able to find an off-the-shelf pair of boots that fit over my rather large calves (my calves measure about 19- 20-inches around); as well, my feet are fairly wide (I normally measure out at about a 12 EEE). I purchased a size 13; when I tried them on (out-of-the-box while wearing ankle high cotton socks), I was very pleased and suprised with the fit. Firstly, the boot just perfectly fit over my extra large calves, which is the first time in my life an off-the-shelf boot has ever fit over my calves. Secondly, my wide feet fit just comfortably in the foot compartment of each boot; not too tight, nor too loose. However well the boots fit over my sock clad feet & calves, I'm sure that jeans would never ever be able to be tucked inside my boots (there's not any extra space between my skin & the boot at my calves). All this being said, I'm impressed with the fit of these boots on my extra large lower extremities. Now, to work! Let's see how these boots perform under real (wet) world work conditions...Four stars out-of-the-box for the feel & fit of this wet-gear footwear.... ... show more

I needed sturdy boots for exploring wetlands, and these did not disappoint! They provide excellent support for my feet, offering comfort comparable to regular shoes. The thick, durable soles give me a strong sense of protection, making them ideal for rugged terrain. Overall, these boots are a fantastic value and well worth the investment. I would size down if you buys these. They were a bit too large. But they are a nice sturdy boot at least! I plan on shoving some socks in them to make them fit a bit better. They won’t be long term use boots, just the occasional boot to check on the garden.
