I first ordered size 10, my usual size (41 European). With a Birkenstock-style footbed, it's important to have a bit of room in front of toes and for the heel, in order not to break down the turned-up boundaries of the cork footbed. The 11 had the proper room for the feet in the footbed. I also have a narrow, low-volume foot, so being able to tighten with the buckles is essential. The metatarsal and regular arches aren't as good and pronounced as a Birkenstock, and the heel is raised and cushioned, not depressed/recessed, as is a Birkenstock. But the cushioning is comfortable. The buckle hardware is a bit flimsy, but I hope it lasts. Overall, it is a comfortable sandal and, if it lasts at least a year, worth the $29, for sure. (I have some very old Birkenstocks that are still giving good service!) So far, I'm happy with the Cushionaire ( as an inexpensive alternative to Birkies) but have worn them only for one week. I hope they last for a year and, I hope, longer!

This is the second pair of sandals I got from this brand. The first set I bought in store. So worth the money! They took a while to break in and they caused a small blister on the top of my foot. I choose (poorly) to break them in on a two mile walk. But after that I no longer have issues. I wear them everywhere! They are great with a pair of thick socks while camping! The only down side that caution others against is the fact the sizing is off. I bought a 10wide because my feet swell while camping (elevation changes) and these are NOT wide. They are actually less wide than the ones I bought in store. They are still worth it and I recommend buying them!!

So I got these july 22nd 2023 and I think they’re a good alternative to birks. However by my mistake I kept the straps tight thinking they’d hold my foot better. I highly recommend loosening the straps if you have to wiggle your feet in to fit. Because I kept my straps snug and with the summer heat I got a small blister. It’s mostly my fault but I do think you have to break them in a little for them to really be comfy. Overall they’re nice I think they’re more comfy than birks I haven’t spent a whole day in them yet but since loosening the straps it should be fine! I wear 10 in women’s and have narrow feet with a high high arch.

These shoes are amazing! I wasn’t sure if I would like the look of Birkenstocks and didn’t want to spend the money and not like them, so I got these. I may not even buy Birkenstocks because these are so comfortable, even right out of the box! And can’t beat the price. I normally wear a 9.5/10 sneaker and 8.5 dress shoe. I sized up to a 9.5 like people recommended and they fit perfect! I have a narrow foot so I did have to tighten the straps to the second to last hole on both straps.

Great for wide and swollen feet I’m a woman and I cry when it comes to shoes bc my feet are so swollen, I can’t wear a lot of cute shoes. I literally told my husband as I was taking them out the box “Preparing to cry bc they probably won’t fit.” And I tried them on and they fit! I bought my regular size in wide and this time, I cried happy tears. They’re SO SOFT and comfortable and I want to wear them with everything, everywhere! I will be ordering more colors! Thrilled!!!

Initially I ordered a 7.5 Black, A thumbs width in the top and bottom of the sandal. I immediately ordered a size 7 black - fit perfect, I then sent back the 7.5 to Amazon and within the hour was refunded the purchase price. I have owned Birkenstocks years ago and liked them but they ar enot over $100 and out of my budget. These Cushionnaires are great, very comfortable, virtually no breakin time. I do have flat feet, hubby has high arches and has a history of a bad ankle break/broke the talus bone. He didn't find them as comfortable and will stick with his lined Crocs or his Keen hybrid sandals. Amazon return policy is wonderful. Since we live ina rural area very much appreciated. I'm probably going to go back and try another Cushionaire style maybe with the toe post or toe loop. For the price and hot weather - great sandal.

I am typically a size 8. After reading the reviews I was really torn between ordering my normal size or a half size bigger, so I ordered both. The 8s technically did fit, but my foot was right at the edge and I found it a little uncomfortable while walking. The 8.5 gave just enough wiggle room in the front and back. I decided to stick with the 8.5 because I found it to be more comfortable while walking. So I would say it really just depends on what you prefer! If you prefer a snug fit go with your normal size but if you prefer a little more space do the half size up.

Just got these today and will do an updated review if I need to once I break them in. I was so apprehensive about these shoes, I ordered them before reading the reviews. Man, the reviews were so far one way or the other. I ordered the size I normally am, a size 9. After reading reviews, I thought this was going to be an issue. It’s not, these actually fit perfectly. I could have went to 9.5, but my feet fit perfectly inside the boundaries of the shoe. The sole of the shoe is extremely comfortable and in my opinion better than a Birkenstock. I read reviews where it was like walking on a plank of wood, I definitely don’t feel like that. I’m hard on shoes and I anticipate I will get some blisters, I live in the desert and it gets hot and my feet sweat real bad! They are slippery on carpet and tile, but so are every pair of shoes I first buy. Once I break them in by dragging them around town, I’m sure they won’t be as slippery. The color I got was perfectly matched, there was no extra glue anywhere and no mold on them. I’m glad I didn’t rage cancel my order after initially reading reviews. I am excited to break these in and potentially order more in the future. Like I said, I’m hard on shoes and my feet sweat, so spending 100+ dollars on a pair of Birks is not reasonable for me.
