I need more time in these, but my first heads up will be that the black has a sparkle to it, like in the first picture. If you aren’t into sparkle (I am not), then the oil black is the way to go, which is the second picture. I wish I would’ve been warned before wasting my time with the purchase, so I wanted to make sure I mention and picture it for others. Second heads up. The wides are not wide at all and the size up warning that most post about ended up being me sizing up twice! I wear an 8 and ended up with a 10W after three orders/returns. Third heads up is this synthetic upper is pretty dang uncomfortable. I am a Birks girl and have a brown leather pair of Arizonas that I love. While shopping for a black pair, I could not find real leather in black. It was all vegan. So I decided to finally give these a try since I’ve seen them all over social media. If I’m going to buy synthetic leather, I might as well spend $30 instead of $110. I don’t have experience with real vegan Birks to compare, but I’m not a fan of the comfort level compared to real leather. Maybe it’s the cushion in the sole. Maybe it’s a combo of both. The straps are just uncomfortable and the cushion seems to hold sweat compared to a hard cork sole of Birkenstock. I feel like my feet are hotter in these. It also seems like they will not last long at all. I can see this easily separating in either the straps or the sole. Time will tell, but for $30 and finally finding the right size, I’m open to the possibilities of these helping my wallet with my Birkenstock obsession! ... show more

    • My favorite shoes!
I used to buy these shoes at Marshall’s, for around the same price that they are listed on Amazon app. This summer I accidentally stepped in a mud puddle and decided it was time for new shoes. I looked on Amazon and to my delight they had the shoes! I love that they have them in so many different colors and styles. One of the reasons I like these more than Birkenstocks is because these have cushion and hold cushion. I have high arches and these shoes support my feet for the entire duration of wearing the shoe. For me, Birkenstocks are too hard and take too long to conform to feet. My last pair lasted me over two years. Buy these! ... show more

    • Super comfy, but definitely size up!
Bought these sandles for my wife and she definitely recommends sizing up. She read over many reviews trying to decide what size would be best and found some that said true to size and others that said size up. She had had simular sandles in the past from other brands and always had to go up one size. She is a true size 8, but we decided to get a 9 and we are glad we did! She can walk without her heal coming down on or hitting the back of the shoe, which if you have owned shoes like these before, you know does not feel good at all. I've wanted birks for so long but could never justify the cost. I'm not a big shoe person so $100 for sandals just seemed wild. I've had these in my cart for months and I finally took the plunge. I'm so glad I did! I got the whiskey color which is a beautiful orangey almost terra cotta color. I really love the color! I got them in 8.5 as I usually wear 8-8.5. I probably could have sized up but they fit almost perfectly. I wore them yesterday to a pool party in 95° weather and I got blisters. I honestly think it's because my feet got sweaty. I'm going to try a bit of leather softener today and wear them again. Despite the blisters I think I'll order a second pair! Overall, I'm super stoked on these. I am so picky when it comes to my shoes. I have fibromyalgia and have to be on my feet for most of the day, so I have to wear the comfiest shoes in order to not be in constant pain. If there’s so much as a seam in a weird place, I’m in pain for days. Not to mention how hard it is to find properly padded shoes that aren’t “old lady shoes”. These! THESE! I’ve worn my second pair into shreds and I’m about to buy a third. I’ve also converted half the women I know into trying these because they’re so much comfier than the ones that are twice the price. Once you break these sandals in so that you get used to where the padding is (only takes me a day or two), these are the absolute comfiest slide on sandals. I’ve worn them in airports, I’ve worn them in the woods, I’ve worn them in my garden, I’ve worn them to work, I’ve worn them on the beach (you can dust sand off sooooo easily), I’ve worn them on long dog walks, I’ve worn them to the zoo, I’ve worn them with fuzzy socks in the winter. These are some of the comfiest shoes I own and as long as they’re still being produced, I will own at least one pair. Such a steal. They look so much like Birkenstocks. Honestly I never bought real Birkenstocks because they are so expensive and evry time I tried them on they weren’t all the comfortable. I found these on Amazon and they are honestly so comfortable. They look so nice, high quality, some have even mistaken them for Birkenstocks. I have been wearing these all summer. Even when they’ve gotten wet at the pool, they don’t get gross and Stink, obviously let them air dry. They’ve been a casual shoe staple all summer. I have definitely recommended to others. Again, cannot beat the price. Also true to size, what they recommended that would fit me, fit perfectly. I ordered these shoes as a last-minute decision before a 12 day trip through Europe. I was thinking I could use them to switch out with my tennis shoes after long days of walking. However, on day one I got big blisters from my tennis shoes leaving me with these shoes for the rest of the trip. I wore them every day for at least 12 hours per day.
