Not a horrible hiking shoe. The shoe is wider than my New Balance hiking shoes, which is okay. The soles of the shoes are thin and you will feel whatever you are walking on and there is little/no arch support. Other than that, they are comfortable. Hiked 5 miles in them without needed to break them in. No blisters and feet weren't sore, I did wear an arch support device to avoid any issues. I usually wear wide width, but these boots have plenty of wiggle room for your toes with a lot of cushion throughout. After walking in wet grass, feet stay dry and the laces stay tied with one knot. Others I have bought must be double knotted to stay on. Great for walking trails. Update: Bought first pair May ‘22 & wore them on my daily 1-hr hike. Since then, had to replace insoles 3 months in & now 6 months in the outer sole parts are separating. Liked them so much at first, bought a second pair. Shoe is comfortable & style is nice . I haven't worn them actually. I've only tried them on & wore inside the house for a few mins. Will be wearing them now that cold weather is near. I feel once they've been worn & broken in they will be a perfect pair of shoes.

    • Really pleased with the fit.
I was concerned how the fit was going to be as I usually get an 8 but with a wide fitting. Was pleasantly surprised how well these fit, without being tight. We will see how sturdy they are as I walk a lot. My Bearpaws lasted me over a year.
