I like the cream lidocaine better and is safer to use the way I use. I make my own lidocaine patches using this cream and a bandaid, especially using the larger bandaids for more coverage. What a great product, with many uses. It's advertised as an anorectal cream but, it has worked well for minor scrapes, bug bites, or other skin irritations where numbing is useful. I wasn't sure about the amount but, the 6oz tube is really big, considering how much you need at a time.

First, the size is huge, its very inexpensive compared to others, and it absolutely numbs your skin very well. I begin to itch in random spots on my arms and shoulders when I'm under lots of stress. The only thing that helps the itching is to numb my skin with lidocaine. At first, I had no issue with this cream. After about a week I noticed my skin was hot and fire red where I was applying it. I wasn't sure if it was from scratching or the lidocaine cream. So, I stopped using it and the warmth and redness went away. I went back to the original lidocaine cream that's double the price, but doesn't irritate my skin. I feel as though I need to say I do not have sensitive skin! I rarely have reactions to skin care products, so this really surprised me and was disappointing. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars. It was just a random reaction for me. I am so happy I came across this product. It works amazingly well. It is more economical and works better than prescription Lidocaine and it it is worth the price. I am on my third tube and works fast. I would recommend it to anyone who needs it.
