The spring loading makes it so much easier to open this lock compared the the older versions of this that I remember having. I like that I don't have to go find a key to unlock it. My cat was super pissed there first night when she realized I'd locked her out of the kitchen cabinet with the dangerous chemicals and she spent a good hour or two putting it open as far as it would go and then releasing it to thump back, but she couldn't figure out how to open it. Now that she knows it's useless, she doesn't even bother trying to open it and I don't have to listen to cabinet doors slamming all night.

These are well made and relatively hard to unlatch by small fingers. I use these for cats, so I'm not sure how well they work with children but probably better than most. I screwed these in so I don't know how well the adhesive works. Since it takes a good bit of pressure to unlatch these I didn't trust the adhesive. It's best to push the latch to close the cabinet because relying on the force of closing the cabinet to push the lock down puts a lot of torque on the attachment. If you don't push the latch to close it might also damage the finish on the cabinet if you do not use the plastic latch attached to the cabinet.

My main interest buying this locks was to keep my little monsters out of the kitchen pantry, and it does the job, very easy and intuitive to install.

They were super easy to install but I have problems with a couple of them coming off. So now my son is able to open those cabinets since they aren’t secure.

Got these to keep my cat out of cupboards. They work perfectly. The adhesion is super strong, like difficult for an adult person to just pull them off. They are super easy to install and use. My cat has been unsuccessful in opening the cupboards since installing them, though he has tried many many many times over the months.

Adhesive tape removed cabinet finish when repositioned. Screw heads either striped out, had unremovable debris or broke off before securing to cabinets. Very frustrating product to use. Cannot recommend.
