Bought this after I had a reused TTY crank bolt back out on me. ARP has the good stuff as usual, but I did have to buy a special socket and borrow a friend’s torque wrench because mine didn’t go high enough. You need a 12 point 1 and 1/16th inch socket, not the usual metric 6 point I had laying around, and you need a torque wrench that can go all the way up to 235 ft-lbs. Don’t forget to use the provided arp lube on the bolt head and washer, and blow out the crank threads with an air compressor if your engine has been sitting without a crank bolt threaded into it for any amount of time. ... show more

This is a must have on your LS motor. I used it on a 6.2 I swapped into my C4 corvette while I was pinning the balancer. This is a very high quality piece and fit perfect. I will use them on all my LS builds.

Works well, seems good quality and an upgrade to the factory bolt. Also not bad price considering if had to take balancer on and off a few times on the motor than you could've brought this to reuse instead of replacing the bolt everytime.

if you are looking for a bolt that you don't need that angle over crap to use, this is the one! Even better than that since you are not trying to stretch this bolt its reusable! This bolt requires 1-1/16 12 point socket and a torque wrench rated for 235 ftlbs.
