I had my doubts about this when I ordered it. NO MORE DOUBTS NOW! I put this cupholder in place on my over-hospital-bed-table. That was weeks, ago! It has been in the same spot where I tightened the screw to fasten it the table, every since!!! It stay tight & sturdy. No problem holding my 24. oz. Insulated Cups with drink & ice in them. Never had to adjust or re-tighten the screw, because it stays secure. I love that I can swing it out away from the bed as I get up, (since this table is made to stay over the bed), or I can swing it in towards me in the bed to bring it closer. Yet it still stays just as tight as the 1st day I put it on there. It is so easy to put the handle on the cup, by sliding the gray bar up into the groove of the cup. The handle is very securely fitted then, & won't slip out. I think you can use adhesive, but I didn't need to. Even thought of buying one for the other side of the table. They had a few color choices, & I just like red alot to go with the black table it is pretty & stylish. I am often on bed rest, so mine gets alot of use The gap between the screws to tighten it to a table is wide enough to fit very thin tables or one that might be quite thick. Took a while to get use to where I had to place this holder on my tanker desk slide out, side tray. But I have never spilled my drink again. It holds my 16 oz and also my 24oz travel mugs. Not sure how it would work on a standard desk ledge. I had to put in a few spacers to rig up my slide out side tray, due to thin metal. ... show more

If you're looking for a movable cup holder that can handle cans up to 30 oz Yeti-style tumblers, this is the one to get. Reasonably well built, easy to set up, easy to "install". It's not perfect, but from everything I was able to see on Amazon, I'd say this is the best. Pros: Good value, quick setup, holds a lot of different sizes and is able to take the weight of a full 30 oz tumbler, multiple install settings so that mug handles can be angled to a more reach-friendly position, plenty of desk top thickness capability. Cons: Little bit on the flimsy side when it comes to clamping. Be careful to not over-tighten, as the C clamp mechanism *will* give. I'd recommend that the company either apply a tacky rubber or sandpaper to both the bottom screw clamp and the underside of the top of the clamp. I super-glued a piece of 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper to the upper portion of the clamp, and I glued a small block of wood next to the clamp screw to keep it from being pulled off the table. ... show more

I wanted a cup holder to fit tightly on a folding table, for when I do events. And this fits the bill PERFECTLY. YES, it fits over the edge of a folding table well, and will tighten appropriately. Love it!

The product works but it moves a lot no matter how much you tighten the clamp because the clamp arms are made of a very weak plastic. The good - it holds most cups and mugs i have tried in it. The Bad - when you use a clamp on product like this, you generally want to be able to tighten it until you get to the point where it doesn’t move around on the desk. That is impossible with this product due to the weak plastic in the clamp’s arms. Once you tighten it to a certain point, tightening it further just stretches the clamp open more with each turn and actually moves the holder further from the desk by a tiny bit each turn - see picture 1 and then after more tightening see picture 2 (notice that tightening it after a certain point just increases the gap between the table and the holder because it just pushes the bottom of tthe clamp down and out at an angle). Because of that, the product wiggles a lot. This would all be fine if it was priced at about $5 but for $15 there should be something more solid. ... show more

I was looking for a holder for my mini trash can. I wanted something that could be attached to the tv tray that I am using as a work table. This cup holder is perfect. It holds the cup perfectly and no tools were needed to attach it to my tv tray. I absolutely love it. It is well worth the money.
