I found this to be something I considered a masculine gift, & as I have limited knowledge in what a patriarchal friend would like? I pounced on this, but not for the reasons I wish I could claim? I could take credit for specifically & majestically researching & finally locating this? I could list each item here, but that would lack the accurate description within all? The TRUE quill is the thought that comes to mind when spoken & the various accompanying tips? It is stamped with symbols related to compass & IS BEYOND perfection as the individual is at a crossroads? I believe in "signs," & seemingly, I find it a coincidence, no? I may have explicitly lacked in my description here, but I do not intend to sound vague or not thorough. Still, I strongly feel that all held within the attractive gift boxing is interpreted differently by the person viewing? The product itself is lovely and works well. The decorative box, unfortunately, arrived mashed and ripped. I sent it back for a new one and the second one ALSO arrived damaged. Makes it impossible to give as a gift bc it looks like you found it on the side of the road. This may be Amazon's fault. Both times it was sent in soft packaging rather than a cardboard box to protect the fragile box inside, so who knows

First, this item is beautiful. It is well packaged and would make a beautiful gift. However, I got it for my 12 year old daughter who loves to write letters and loves calligraphy with the promise from her that "I am not a kid anymore and I won't make a mess." Well, it lasted all of about one hour before ink spilled all over her work desk. Good news: It cleaned up pretty easily. Took a lot of Bounty paper towels and some lysol wipes with rubbing alcohol. Highly recommend for anyone who is skilled at using an actual calligraphy pen that needs to be dipped in ink.

Everything included is beautiful. The spoon for melting the wax is pretty shallow. I would start with one wax bead and then add more if there is room. There are a total of 11 pen nibs, including the one on the pen. Very giftable.

It is a very nice set. It comes with everything you need. The feather pen looks very nice and it writes well. Multiple tips you can try to see what you like best. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was the fact that I got if for my daughter for her birthday and when she opened it, the little glass container with the wax was broken, and there was a chip in the little glass inc holder. The wax and glass was everywhere and ended up cutting my finger picking out the glass pieces. My daughter said daddy its ok and that it was fine she did not want to return it because she wanted to use it lol. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars
