Great for in the SUV use. It covers my 8'4'' surfboard. The material is like a sheen and it can be slippery, however I find this works great because the board which has wax on it - does not stick - so easy to slip on and off. I would only recommend this bag if you are going to put your surfboard inside your SUV/Car as this is what I do. The material is can be slippery so I would not feel comfortable being strapped on the roof of my car. The price is good. The funny thing is that it looks like a large condom when stretched out - go figure.

This is a very nice surfboard cover and the fabric pattern is really cute for my sons board. I do like it overall but there are a few things that are worth pointing out. First the sizing comes in a โrangeโ and for our 8-foot Wavestorm surfboard the cover is wide and long. The excess material all around bunches up and flaps in the wind when we put the board on the roof. The material is silky and slippery so itโs hard to get solid grip on the board when Iโm holding and carrying it. Lastly the fabric is not really water absorbent but it does dry fast when wet.

I use it to just transport my soft top board inside the car. It does not provide much of any protection, but makes my car cleaner by not letting the sand drip from the board all over my car. My main complaint is that it is hard to put it on. I wish I could just open the whole thing and zip it up. Not an easy endeavor as the bag is long and slippery/soft. A really good feature is that it is black. I leave my board in the car and you can't even notice that it's inside.

If you're looking for something to cover your board inside your car, this is pretty good. The fabric at the nose of the board sock is a stronger nylon, not sure if it's rip stop. The body of the bag itself is like a softer nylon, almost feels like satin. It is very smooth. In fact, it's so smooth that when I took it out, my dog came over to rest on it like you see in the picture. It looks like they made it smooth so you could pull it over your board without too much resistance. I bought the "up to 8.5" version and the nose is rounded. It comes as described with a pouch that could probably fit two blocks of wax. I'm not sure i'd feel completely comfortable throwing it on the roof of my car, but I plan to use it to protect the interior of my car and should suit that need quite well. The cut seems good as well as the sewing. There's a loop at the nose of the sock that's used to bungee the entire setup back together when you're storing it. It also comes with a mesh storage bag. It was cheaper than alot of the other brands I was looking through and fit the bill nicely. I'll report back if there's any durability issues. Edit: Dropped the rating. The bag doesn't really have any cushioning properties. It's pretty heavy for what it is. Its ok as long as you are only using it to keep the wax off the inside of your car. It also seems to be bleeding the color.

Decent board cover bag. I was looking for a sock material one but went with this one instead. Bought it for an 8 feet round nose longboard and fits great. This is only suitable for light car travel and/or storage. I wouldn't use it for air traveling.
