I know these were designed for fishermen, but for cutting thread or yarn, they are superb. For people like knitters and crocheters, they are tiny, and easy to carry with you in your knitting bag. The points are rounded, and unlikely to harm or marr anything they come in contact with. Really sharp scissors don't cut thread or yarn well because they're so sharp, they tend to make yarn just slide out of the scissor blades. The serrations on these grab individual fibers and cut them cleanly with no effort. The rubbery coating on the finger holes tends to make them resist slipping in your hands, too. They are VERY good! 3 rd fishing scissor review I am typing in last few minutes. The other two were much more expensive. Fit in the hand much nicer. We’re much more ergonomically functional. Much better quality with only one exception to them that they didn’t have that these absolutely excell in. They weren’t sharp to begin with and what edge they did have was gone in two trips. On the other hand. These cheaply designed and cheaply priced very small scissors are absolute rockstars in my book and I won’t ever buy anything different again. I have 3 or 4 pair of these that are still less than one of the others I bought. Not only are these hands down the best line cutting scissors out of the box I’ve owned they are incredibly durable and stay sharp real sharp For god knows how long. I fish everyday and have for years so I use mine a lot. The very first pair I bought 3 years ago I used right before I sat down to give my reviews cut 65 lbs braid just like they did the day I got them. Sure are their ones that fit in your hand and feel better. Absolutely there are these are pain with big hands. But more of Pain is having scissors that fit and feel Perfect that are lucky if you can cut 6lbs mono after using For a week. Save your money. Spend $10 bucks and get 3 pairs of these bad boys. Cuda makes some incredible scissors. I just wished they had a clip or pouch to make them easier to access. Cuts my 30lbs braid with no issues. The grips are anti slip so makes the performance easy. Stainless steel so don't worry about rust.

I love these little scissors. I crochet all the time and only use nylon thread. Omega Nylon comes in 5 or 6 sizes and can unravel very easily. These little Cuda’s cut my thread cleanly even after i use this gummy kind of seam sealant on my knots. They are cheap and have large finger holes with this plastic stuff on the handles that is easy to grip. I bought 5 pair so i can drop them in several project bags. I got the first pair at Academy in the fishing department but the rest of them from Amazon. Got my Mom a pair too. She crochets with yarn. They work great with yarn also. My only issue is the blue color of the handles. Would prefer red or green. ... show more

    • My Go To For Cutting Braided Line

One thing that has frustrated me for years was getting a clean cut on braided fishing line . At the price my first pair was on sale for I gave these things a try and they did not disappoint . Anything above 8 pound braided line they cut quickly and cleanly , 6 pound braid was a little haggard after the cut but no biggie . I don't use that thin of line very often , as a matter of fact I just took the last of it off my ultralight spinner rod/reel . They are large enough to not get easily lost but also fit nicely into even the smallest of tackle boxes . I bought a pair for my youngest daughter , who is into fishing with me , and my granddaughter who also likes to fish with me . I also have a pair for each of my tackle boxes and a spare pair in case I lose one . At under $4 shipped these things can't be beat for cutting mono, flouro and braided fishing line . They feel pretty good in hand and stay ergonomic while using them with my sausage sized fingers but also just as well with my 16 year old daughter and 6 year old granddaughter . These should be a must have in every tackle box imo . ... show more
