  • Great frames that provide lots of options for use
These trellises are easy to set up, use and store. They provide lot of options for configurations so I can use them for lots of different purposes in my garden. For now, they are being used with sweet peas and pole beans.

  • Nice Trellises but Wire Gauge is a Little Thin
These are some nice garden trellises that I will be adding to my raised garden bed enclosure for vining plants, particularly melons and squash. I already have a lot of trellises (I have sixteen 4-foot by 4-foot beds) but needed some more trellises and decided to pick these up. Most of my other trellises are from Gardner’s Supply, and I immediately noticed that the gauge of wire is much thinner on these. The grid wire is only around 0.1-inches in diameter and the framing is around 0.17-inches in diameter. I will post comparative pictures next to my other trellises for you to see the thickness differences. I ordered the 4x2 trellises, which come with two sets of hinged frames that are infinitely configurable into shapes like A-frames or square chimneys. They are 4-feet tall, and each of the two trellis parts has two hinged frames that are 17-inches wide, which makes each of the two trellises a total of 34-inches wide. The trellises come with four coiled springs for attaching the two parts in different ways, although I will likely use zip ties. Those springs are easy to lose, so make sure you put them somewhere safe when not in use. Cons? Besides the thinner wire than I was expecting, there are no legs to push them into the soil as is pictured for the 4x4 trellis (the delineation between the two sizes refers to the size of the squares or rectangles within the frames, 2-inches by 4-inches, or 4-inches by 4-inches). Otherwise, these appear to be nice trellises that are easy to set up, but I would use them for lighter fruiting vining plants and not for heavy melons or giant squash. ... show more

  • A must from green beans

  • What am I going to do with all these cucumbers????
Size: 46x35.4 inch
I didn't even know that cucumbers benefit from a trellis. But, oh boy. They love it. I'm harvesting 5 cukes a day. The trellises are strong and sturdy. They are carrying a lot of weight for sure. And they are holding up. no rust or any of that. I've only had them one season, but I'm sure I'll get many more seasons out of them. ... show more

  • I wish they came less put together.
I'll add the pictures I took later. I'm sorry, but I'm terribly swamped at the moment. I had hoped for a different configuration. I thought they would come separate and that I'd be able to easily put them together for my own purposes. That wasn't the case. They come mostly put together, two sections already clamped together. So, you're getting two 4' tall sections that have already been pieced together on the long sides. I had hoped to put them together on the short sides and use them in two different locations. I couldn't do that with these, not without removing the metal clips (which I wasn't willing to do at the moment). Instead of using this like an A frame, I just fixed them upright like room dividers. Formed at a 90 degree angle, I drove stakes into the ground in each corner and then attached some trellis plastic across the two feet between them (forming a triangle). I did this twice, a few feet apart from each other. So, now I have two three sided trellises that are 4' tall and each side is 2' wide. This will work well enough for the plants I have there. I'll take more pictures as they actually get bigger. The trellis solved a problem I was having--my family kept stepping on the sprouting veggies. This "cage" keeps them from doing so and gives them a visible reminder that there's something growing there. And, it will be there once the plants start climbing. It's been up through heavy wind and rain and I haven't seen any signs of it failing. It does cast a good amount of shade, and will do more so when the plants climb. Be aware of this and adjust where you want to put it so that it won't block out the sun for other plants. Bottom line: Would I order again? Yes. But, I'd probably be braver and clip the metal fasteners and use it as I'd intended. Would I gift? I would, and I'd pair it with some seeds for some climbing veggies. It's a great household gift. ... show more

  • ok
I would not buy again, it is more flimsy than I thought it would be and sits different than I though it would by the photo.

  • Easy to use, lasted the past year
Only thing I can complain about is that it is a bit flimsy, when I set it up I had to set the legs so they're half way into the soil. Initially I pushed from the top and and it bent the legs a bit, I was able to bend it back and carefully guide it through later. Other than that, it has lasted great throughout the past year and supported our beans stalk which ended up overgrowing without any problem. ... show more
