I found my mother one of these memory foam mats (by another company) a while back and fell in love with it so I've wanted a set for myself for a while. Because I live in a 100 year old farm house I don't have a dishwasher forcing me to stand for quiet a while in one spot taking care of the family dishes. Eventually it does become taxing on my old feet. The first thing I noticed after cutting the plastic these were rolled in was the smell. Very very strong chemical rubber smell. It saturated multiple rooms to the point one of my boys actually asked me what the smell was from in an adjoining room. It does eventually dissipate, but is rather overwhelming. I suggest leaving these outside in the open for a few hours to air out. It does take a while for these to lie flat after being rolled. After use they should eventually flatten out. I appreciate the gradual edge of these mats which reduce tripping and the transition feels decent on the foot. That mottling is more pronounce than the photos. It's actually pretty active of a pattern even in grey. This does provide an amount of stress reduction, but I didn't find it as soft and forgiving as other mats I've tired or my mother's sadly. Possibly a thickness issue? It will however reduce the fatigue on my feet which is much appreciated. Size. It's advertised at 17 x 47 and 17 x 30. It's not a deal breaker, but these actually measured 17.4 x 29.25 and 17.4 x 47 inches. This might be important for folks who are looking for a specific fit. I am unsure how they rated these as 'anti slip'. Maybe standing on them? On carpet? I found these slide pretty darn easy on my crappy 1960s linoleum with a simple side push of my shoe. That's a bit disconcerting. The seem overall pretty decently made and sturdy. My cat's haven't tried the claw test yet but I'll update when that becomes an issue...and it will. For the present price of $17.99 I feel this is with in fair market value. Overall not a bad set of mats. I wish they were a little softer (or maybe thicker?) and the pattern not so pronounce. The slipping issue has me a little worried but only time and use will tell if this is a hazard and I will update if I find issue.

My partner and I owned an anti-fatigue mat that we use for times when we are washing dishes. After tweaking my back I figured we should order a second mat for the area in front of the stove/oven as well to take the pressure off of our feet and legs while we are cooking. When these arrived I realized that the longer mat was way too long for in front of the stove, but if I swapped it with the existing mat we'd actually have a mat in front of the sink AND a bit down the counter workspace as well. This has been a great swap, and allows us to take the weight off of our feet when doing dishes, but also when moving around part of the kitchen that wasn't as forgiving to our feet. I only wish these mats were a bit thicker. The material is more of a memory foam style than a supportive thick rubber mat you would find in the service industry or a place with significant use. OVERALL: 7/10 would recommend.
