20+ years ago I had a Croscill comforter and it was fantastic so ordering this one I knew what to expect quality wise and it did not disappoint! This is a high end comforter and not only is it beautiful but it’s warm and heavy as well. Even the bag it came in is elegant. The red is much deeper in color, more like a red burgundy but pictures seem to brighten it up. The other main colors are brown and a rich gold but it truly is a tapestry of warm tones. The only downside is it didn’t come with decorative pillows and I don’t really like the ones they show in the stock photos so I will be on the hunt for a few that will compliment it! ... show more

WOW!!!! croscill never ceases to disappoint. Bought a queen croscill 20+ years ago and it is still in fantastic shape. Needed to get a king size and the pattern had been retired. So, held my breath, and prayed the quality is still the same. And YES IT IS!!!!! The textures are fantastic and wrinkling won’t be an issue at all.. The bed skirt is going to need an ironing though. Otherwise, my husband gave this a 10 and even likes it better than the last one. ... show more

This is a very nice comforter set and has some weight to it. However, if you have a new style foam mattress you may consider getting the king size as many of the newer foam mattresses are a good size taller than a standard queen mattress and result in the comforter to sit higher on the sides of the bedframe. ... show more
