  • Challenging yet amazing
Hardware Platform: PlayStation 5
Cronos was one of the most challenging survival horror games I’ve played, and I’ve played a lot of them, but one you get the swing of the combat, the enemy types, and how to upgrade/craft equipment the game can be very rewarding. Visually the game looks great, the atmosphere is top notch, and the combat is grueling and challenging. The story was the weakest point for me, but the Polish setting was amazing. All in all, I highly recommend Cronos to anyone looking for a horror game that will challenge you. ... show more

  • Awesome, challenging sci fi horror game by bloober team
Hardware Platform: PlayStation 5
This is an awesome, challenging sci fi horror game. I'm very impressed with bloober team since the Silent Hill 2 remake. This game is quite different and I'll be honest at first I thought it was too hard and I quickly ran out of ammo and health. I thought I would have to start the game over but I kept moving forward and this game does a great job of pushing to you the max, but it's still beatable. I eventually figured out keeping your distance from the creatures and not being greedy with taking your shots at them works really well. And you will hear a certain musical note when one of the creatures is about to attempt to merge with another fallen creature so I recommend waiting for those moments to use your torches. And I do love having a dodge button but eventually I got used to having it in this game and I don't mind it anymore because most times you can run out of the way of a creatures strike. I've seen similar creatures in dead space or callisto protocol but these ones are very aggressive and put up a really good fight. There's quite a few weapons you get but the ones I mostly used were the sword and hammer (handgun and shotgun). I found them to be the most reliable especially as you upgrade them. I'm playing through it a second time because there's a lot of good secrets in it. I will say it would have helped to have a map but surprisingly there is no map. But I really like bloober team's level designs and how they interconnect so it wasn't a big deal. This game also feels like an old school horror game with save rooms and item boxes like Resident Evil which I love. And also the save rooms have them song which reminds me of Resident Evil. One minor complaint is with the human character models, animations, faces in the cut scenes. They were definitely better in Silent Hill 2 and looked a little last gen or something. But the graphics overall are really impressive to me, the levels, main character model, pretty much everything else. I guess the cats looked a little funny too but really not a big deal. There's plenty of gameplay and worth every penny, I'm really glad I bought this game and super excited for the next Silent Hill remake. But for now I'm having a blast playing this game again. I think the first playthrough for me was about 23 to 25 hours because I really took might time looking at the environments and reading all the documents scattered throughout the levels. Love how bloober team does that, it's reminiscent of all the Silent Hill and Resident Evil games for me. Overall I recommend getting this game if you're a survival horror fan, it's really great! ... show more

  • Great Game, deserves more love
Hardware Platform: PlayStation 5
This game is awesome, challenging, but awesome. From the guys who made the, “Silent Hill 2 Remake” tight controls and actual survival gameplay. Graphics are awesome, and the story is decent. I love how the physical comes with bonus dlc and stickers! Looking forward to their next game

Excellent! If you are a fan of dead space, silent hill or resident evil you will enjoy this one. Survival horror with some puzzle elements and very sci fi environment. Don’t pass this one up.

  • Don’t expect anything new, but it delivers very well for what it is.
Hardware Platform: Nintendo Switch 2
I believe my title speaks for itself. I bought a Switch 2 for my kids for Christmas, so I naturally had to buy something I’d be interested in. Cronos is a mix of games, everyone has said it’s a mixture of Resident Evil meets Dead Space. I tend to agree with that, except for the fact it is a dystopian setting dealing with going back to a very dark Poland setting in the 80’s. Playing this game in dock mode is very comparable to a Series S. The picture quality is very dark and enemies are incredibly difficult to deal with. There is no dedicated difficulty setting for this game, which I think in my opinion kinda works out. Handheld mode on the Switch 2 is where things tend to get a little poorer in quality. It’s still a fun game, but pop ins are noticeable and frame drops are very noticeable. However, this isn’t very off putting. It’s very playable in handheld mode and again, for what it is, it’s very enjoyable on the go for the few hours I have into it. I’d recommend this to someone getting tired of the FPS games this Holiday season. It’s also on a big sale right now, which in my opinion, makes up for any shortcomings or missed expectations that anyone had. ... show more

  • Excellent Game
Hardware Platform: Nintendo Switch 2
This is game is relentless in difficulty. That being said, great game with a solid survival horror feel. Highly recommend if you like third person shooters. I also purchased it for the PS5 in 2025. The dark atmosphere makes the game difficult. The Switch 2 version is convenient because I mainly use it as a hand held portable gaming device. :-) ... show more

  • Horror brutality of fun
Hardware Platform: Nintendo Switch 2
If Dead space and resident evil had a baby. This game would be its creation. Hard , uneasy , scary, bloody. Everything you need from a horror film. Visually the game is stunning. Would definitely recommend if you like horror games and hard games.
