Works better than the $80 Scubapro Dry Snorkel. I intentionally tried to get water in it by swimming down underwater while breathing in, and it did its job so well. No mouthful of water, it sealed tight. Onto the purging, I was able to blow out most of the water through the purge valve, but recommend the blowing roll to be thorough and use less energy. I am super happy with this purchase. The mask attachment is easy to use when the mask is off your face. It is solider and secure. I would feel safe to breath through this Snorkel for hours. As a scuba safety device, I could sleep (avoid sun exposure) wearing this if I got left behind by the boat and was stuck (worst case scenario). ... show more

How did I ever live with a plane jane snorkle before?!?! This this is soooo worth its price even if it was double. It is very comfortable to use. And the dry valve closes very quicly never allowing water in and releases as soon as it is above water. And even if a very small amount of water, condensation,(or saliva) accumaltes in the mounth piece it very easily can be burped out the purge valve even 20' down. We are in Cancun now and this snorkel tube is amazing! I now have three of these and they all are just perfect. Very comfortable, easy to breathe, and no getting water in your mouth or lungs. Extremely well made. I truly cannot recommend this enough, if you’re trying to decide on one just get this one trust me. I have one left that is different and after this trip I will be replacing it with another one of these. Got this to replace another dry snorkel I was not impressed with and I am very happy. Simple and easy to attach and easily the smoothest breathing dry snorkel I've used.     • The mouthpiece is assymetrical
This is a good snorkel if you wear it on the left side so the mouthpiece faces the swimmers head. If you reverse the mouthpiece for right-sided use, the breathing tube will point away from the swimmer, not over the head where it should be. The materials that the snorkel are made of will support the growth of mold, especially on the inside around the joints. If you see black mold on the inside, take the snorkel apart at the soft joints and clean the parts thoroughly with a disinfectant like chlorine bleach. ... show more
